Great option in a tranquil zone on Utrecht’s outskirts. Restaurant and accommodations are very good, and the staff was always very helpful. It’s better suited for people that arrive by car. The hotel is not new, but it is very well maintained

Pros: The restaurant and its staff are incredibly nice, open until 9pm (past that, they only serve main dishes) and the meals we had were top notch; we even got a comp'ed appetizer. The pool and spa are open until 11pm and we took advantage of that. There is a table tennis table and a pool table. We had a few extra coffee pods and tea bags added to our closet that they had placed there as extras (no cost to us). You are also close to the Austerlitz Pyramid (just down the road), which is nice to visit (note that this is not the Austerlitz where the 1805 battle took place, just a monument built in 1804 by Auguste de Marmont's soldiers, renamed "the Pyramid of Austerlitz" in 1806 after Napoleon Bonaparte's 1805 Austerlitz victory). Cons: The facility seems to be "old world chique" and does appeal to a certain clientele. Due to the way this hotel/restaurant was built and added to over the years, it is quite the labyrinth. If you want to get to the pool, you will have to arm yourself with patience. Moreover, the signs are in Dutch only and the signage is not well done (see the pool reference). Breakfast cost at the time, 18.50 Euro and we skipped it, since there are a few supermarkets and bakeries in the area (car or bike required). Now, our main con was that we reserved a room for 4 adults and we confirmed with a King and 2 twin beds... the fourth bed was a foldable cot or "camping" bed. The mattress was no more than 2 inches thick and 1 inch once you laid on to it. Needless to say that that person had a rough night. There is no food ordering from outside the hotel, like Uber. The Wi-Fi was really bad from our room. They limit you to 4 coffee pods (a day (based on our total occupancy) and you need to pay if you want more.

One of my worst hotel experiences ever. The rooms are in the middle of a loud social area in the hotel with only thin wooden walls with just a curtain to protect you from other guests. It is just super loud all night and you cannot find sleep at all. Extra bonus: no windows in the room at all.

We stayed for one night at Oud London after a long drive through France. It is conveniently located at the outskirts of Zeist. There is a relaxed feeling and rooms are fresh and clean. The inner court is good for morning breakfast, but unfortunatly it was closed during our visit as weather was not great. The restaurant has a good meny and flavours of the various dishes are good. Staff is attentive and friendly. Breakfast is ok with the basic selection. Parking is within hotel area and locked during night. /J&C

Warm and welcoming staff in the reception, gave me a feeling of love right from the beginning. After five days here I realized the Hotel has a lot of staff with an admirable team spirit. In the Restaurant you can experience a delicious ambience. The food is directed by two chefs - a man and a woman, and you can taste it in a delightful nutritious 360 degrees senses experience. I spoke with Isabelle and Mirabel, both serving at the tables, who were so warm. There are many young people working at the Hotel. I had a sense of feeling the owner of the Hotel in the ambience - as if he was present with us, sharing his home. If you take the train from the airport, there's Bus 381 from the train station Driebergen- Zeist to a bus stop at the door of the Hotel. It takes twenty minutes. This same Bus 381 can also drive you to the center of Zeist. It's a small bus and from four trips i experienced, in two i was alone in the other two, with only one person. So, it's a kind of private transfer. The cost of each trip is 3,10. If you want to just feel embraced by life, the indoors swimming pool is warm and there's also sauna and steam bath. The water in the Netherlands is the best i know on Europe - to shower and smooth the skin and even to drink - and I'm very demanding with drinking water. This makes the swimming pool experience even more special. Even though the Hotel is near everything, it's in the woods and you can do wonderful walks around. One time i decided to walk to Zeist and it was a very refreshing fifty minutes stroll near the woods. In the comfortable rooms (don't know about the others) they have cups, some tea bags and a kettle you can use (also for drinking warm water). This has become my Hotel in Zeist. Enjoyed long weekend away at the Oud London, which has well appointed and nicely decorated rooms, Breakfast selection is broad and tasty, with some promotions of local produce. Excellent location to explore Utrecht's nature areas by foot and/or bike.

Everything is clean, but it's clearly visible that the building and rooms are old. The hotel has a lot of group events which is mirrored on the guests and noise. Breakfast is good and staff is friendly. Location is nice and easy reachable if you leave the highway.

We kregen een gratis upgrade waardoor we een kamer met balkon hadden, heerlijk! Het zwembad is ook erg lekker en was lekker rustig. De kamer was mooi en groot, wel zachte bedden waar wij niet van houden, maar ieder zijn eigen voorkeur. Er was geen airco, maar er stonden wel twee ventilatoren als oplossing. Een klein minpuntje was dat de douche straal nogal zacht was.
