Hotel Berner Zell am See

Another fabulous holiday at this stunning hotel. Christoph and his team go above and beyond for you and you feel part of a family. We had lake view room this year on the 3rd floor which had stunning views day and night. Food was fantastic and plenty of it, some of best tasting gravy I have ever had. The food was Michelin star quality and chef is phenomenal to create such flavoursome dishes day after day. The extended mobility card allows for easy trips to salzburg on the train, and with station 5 minutes walk from hotel very easy indeed. Made full use of the summer card using all of the cable cars to reach various hikes. We will return again in a few years. Thank you all again.

From the moment we arrived at this family run hotel we were given a very warm welcome by the owner who offered us a welcome drink. The hotel room was great with a lake view and was spotless, restaurant staff and food was first class. Great choice of food for breakfast and dinner was first class, the chef was very talented fantastic meals evening was a 6 course dinner with free soft drinks, dining staff were very friendly and always had time for a chat. Hotel is in a great location just minutes from bus station, City Express cable car, town centre lake and railway station. All in all first class hotel and service from start to finish of our holiday. We would 100% recommend Hotel Berner although we don’t tend to repeat holiday destinations I think that with so much to see and do we would definitely return to this hotel in the future.

Everything about this hotel is perfect. The rooms, the staff, the cleanliness, location of hotel, the pool, the garden and the food. Such incredible attention to detail. Cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

The Hotel Berner is exceptional in every aspect, it is a small family run hotel in a great location within Zell am See. It is located within easy reach of the bus station, town centre and a nearby cable car. Once inside you are met with a spotlessly clean yet traditional Austrian Hotel. Rooms are well equipped and spotless with plenty of storage and incredible views of the mountains and lakes. Christoph is an amazing guy, he is the current owner of this family hotel. He is always available and is constantly striving to give his guests the best possible experience and to provide the highest level of customer service. The staff that support him are so efficient and clearly have his ethos, nothing is too much trouble for them, they are always prepared to "go the extra mile", their customer service skills are some of the best that we have ever experienced anywhere in the world. Only one word can be used to describe the food...........WOW The chef is clearly a very talented and dedicated professional who has so much pride in his cuisine, in our view it is definitely Michelin Star standard. The hotel provides a wide selection of local wines and beer at very reasonable prices. Each morning, there is a menu form which guests can select their choice of evening meal along with a wine suggestion for that specific night. Breakfast is buffet style with a wide selection of fresh, well presented quality food that caters for all tastes.

Amazing! What a really pleasant experience, we were greeted by very friendly staff who I must say we're thoroughly professional and very helpful during our stay. Christof the owner seemingly never stopped in his endeavours to make sure all guests were fully informed on what was happening in and around the hotel. We have stayed at many hotels and can rate the Berner as excellent , our room the facilities and especially the food were amazing Looking forward to our next visit Rod and Mila

What a fantastic hotel, 3 of us stayed for a week for skiing in Feb, from check in the staff were outstanding, food great & plentiful, rooms fantastic, so much that I plan on a summer visit this year as the area is stunning & will be booking again for another ski trip next year
