Hotel Salzburgerhof

We are a family of three who stayed at the hotel at the beginning of October 2024. There are no words to describe the amazing experience. We arrived in the evening and were welcomed at the reception by Jill. It was an extremely warm welcome. From the minute we stepped into the hotel we could feel the warmth and beauty in everything. The hotel is amazingly decorated with every single detail given attention. One can feel the love and attention given to every corner . We were taken to our room which was beautiful, again attention to every single detail. Very clean and beautifully decorated. The room had a beautiful view to the mountains and to Zell Am See. The food was so delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner. We were given personal attention from the hotel staff. All were amazing!!! However, Peter from the bar was probably the best barman I have ever met in my life. He is one of a kind , a real class!! The spa and wellness center was just amazing. Again, I have never experienced such an attitude in my whole life. And the wellness center is wow, wow, wow. The garden surrounding the hotel is just beautiful , words cannot express. Although the hotel is top class you feel the warmth all the way . It is truly one of a kind experience. We cannot to wait to be back to this amazing place! Book it, don’t think twice! My husband and I are lucky to travel quite a bit and this is the best hotel 5 star hotel we have ever visited. The room is so spacious, clean, and comfortable. The amenities are wonderful. The spa and pool are unparalleled. The food at the restaurant is first class. Most importantly, the staff (have to specifically name Stela and Josip) is professional, helpful, and incredibly kind!

It was a wonderful stay in this beautiful hotel,, the staff were very friendly and welcoming,, the rooms was very clean but not that big,, I decided to stay again in this fabulous hotel in my next visit to zell am see. I advise anyone looking for luxury and fabulous hotel to visit this hotel.

We loved our 3-night stay at Salzburgerhof—there’s no better hotel in Zell Am See! From the convenient parking for our rental car to the super polite and helpful staff, everything was 10/10! The location is perfect, just a short walk to the lake and station. We loved the complimentary bicycles and the hotel car that dropped us off at the railway station. With impeccable service and class, this hotel truly offers everything one could want. We can’t recommend it enough!

Wonderful hotel: the staff were so friendly and helpful, the facilities are wide-ranging and everything is managed very efficiently. The guest is made to feel important and very welcome. Our room was beautiful and dietary requirements were well catered for. Food was superb. We thoroughly relaxed and felt very spoiled. Big thanks to everyone.

There is a lot of hype about the Salzburgerhof from its own web site and reviews. What is clear, is that there is no consistency between what one reads, what happens for some and not others etc. The hotel itself is spotless and the food amazing. However, staff aren't always friendly and on arrival there was no explanation what so ever about where things were, how things happen, how the discount card works etc and we were left to find our room with our cases. Staff in the restaurant looked fed up and worked off their feet. In the morning for breakfast various staff struggled to raise a 'good morning' and looked as if preparing eggs was far from what they would rather be doing. The rooms are spotless and the pools, spa area great. However, it sells itself on being a wellness hotel and yet all along the outside by the bar and water area is smoking. This smoke pervades the bar when one can have tea and cakes and is revolting. There is nothing remotely healthy about smoking and yet non smokers cannot sit here as the secondary smoke inhalation is revolting. Why oh why have smoking when every bit of medical evidence says it's bad for health! I would recommend the hotel, but they need to improve guest relations, especially in how one is spoken to on arrival and if there are any questions during a stay. Show guests around so they know where to go, what to do. I and many guests also feel it's very tight of the hotel not to provide the summer card like nearly all hotels do in Zell. As guests we are paying a great deal, the least you should or could do, is provide a summer card.
