Hotel Albatros Zermatt

My wife and I were on a honeymoon trip and booked Hotel Albatros. The front desk was really nice and helpful and provided us with two glasses of champagne. They left some nice surprise in the room. The room was clean and quiet. It has a huge balcony that links the same floor. The shuttle bus is 10 franc per room per trip. It is located in between the bahnhof and the Paradise Cablecar. Both about 10-15 mins away. All in all loved it.

Wonderful hotel and incredibly helpful front desk staff. Pick up/Drop off available from the Zermatt station 10 CHF each way. Delicious breakfast selection including juices, coffee, muesli, eggs, bacon, other meats, local cheeses, breads, croissants, yogurt, cereals, jams, and fresh/dried fruit. I appreciated that oat milk and dairy free yogurt was available! Best breakfast of our entire Switzerland trip! Comfortable and spacious rooms with the best views of the Matterhorn! Shared outdoor patio area with chairs to watch the sunrise if you wish. Highly recommend this hotel!!

This hotel was an absolute delight to stay in. The staff were fantastic and the owner was very personable and helpful explaining ski passes and transport into the mountains (happy to help with everything). The room was very clean, comfortable mattress and pillows. The welcome drink was also a lovely touch. Amazing views from breakfast and a great buffet selection. The spa area was fantastic with a great sauna, steam room and relaxation day beds. We cannot fault our stay and hope to return one day.

For me, for us this place it's been a hidden gem, a warm comfortable place, placed in a Zermatt quite area. It's just few minutes away by walk from Bahnhofstrasse and all the train and cable cars stations. Friendliness and smiles is what I remember thinking about the staff I encountered in this property. The rooms are good and clean, we booked two rooms and both had a nice terrace, the room located on the upper floor had an astonishing view of the Matterhorn. The hotel have one interesting and helpful app that helps you to find restaurants, activities and give you important information about little bit everything. The hotel offer a shuttle service from and to the train station. Thank you I had an amazing stay.

What a lovely hotel, we arrived at Zermatt station on Sunday 4 February, and was collected by Annett owner of the Hotel, in an electric buggy as Zermatt is car free. The hotel is about a five minute walk from the town centre, and is in a great location. On arrival at the hotel we were offered a glass of prosecco in the reception\ bar area. The lounge area is very cosy with a lovely open fire. Our room had an amazing view of the Matterhorn, we did book a Matterhorn view room in advance. The room had everything you require, and was lovely and comfy. The balcony had chairs with throws so you could sit and take in the view of the Matterhorn. Breakfast was really nice with a large selection of hot and cold food, everything you could want. Hotel staff are all very friendly and helpful. We would love to go back there again. So glad we chose this hotel as it made our stay in Zermatt perfect. We Would definitely recommend this Hotel to anyone going to Zermatt, you will love it.

This Hotel is superb in every aspect. The location is perfect , just away from the madding crowds but 5 minutes walk to the Centre , the staff are friendly and welcoming , and the rooms are great, well equipped, with attention to the smallest detail. Breakfasts were fantastic and plentiful with a good selection of food. It has a nice relaxing bar and open fire . Would thoroughly recommend to anyone thinking of paying much more for a 4 or 5 star with a pretentious image. This ticks all the boxes for the most discerning traveler.

Annette, one of the hotel's owners, picked us up from the Train station and welcomed us to the hotel with a glass of Prosecco. The room itself was spacious and quite nice. We booked one with a view of the Matterhorn, and it delivered! Last, the breakfast there was fantastic. I wish I had gotten to stay here longer!

The people make the hotel in a resort town such as Zermatt, and front desk staff Valentina was terrific: friendly, and super helpful with restaurant recommendations and hiking tips. Wonderful location for the hotel, really enjoyed the Matterhorn view and the outside balcony!
