Everything about this hotel was perfect for us. Amazing view of the Matterhorn, easy walk into Zermatt itself & right beside the cable car station. All of the staff were incredibly friendly & helpful, beds were very comfortable & breakfast was great. Would love to have stayed longer....... Thank you to the Team at Plateau-Rosa 😊

AWESOME HOTEL ! Quiet room. Convenient to the Matterhorn Express. Outside of the town center. The room was great, but there were a few disappointments overall. The location is up the steep hill from the center of town. Although the walk is possible, it is a bit of a chore with luggage from the train station. We opted for taxis after dinner each night simply due to the distance and terrain. There isn’t much nearby in terms of bars, restaurants – you need to walk into town for those places. The hotel advertises that it has a bar. Technically this is correct but they do not STAFF the bar at night, so that was a bit misleading. The nearby cable car station was almost directly over the hotel but it was quiet and did not disturb our sleep. They didn’t start running that lift until long after we were awake and even then, I only noticed it if the window was open. The TV didn’t work in the room (who cares? I didn’t go to Zermatt to watch TV) The bathroom was tiny but everything worked. The bed was comfortable and the front desk is not always staffed but you can get in and out of the hotel without assistance.

Very clean, great breakfast, nice people everywhere! We have been here for 2 nights, had a very warm welcome, the place and rooms are extremely clean!! The stuff were pleased to help with whatever ask we had. Oh and the view, Amazing. Don't hesitate to book

I stayed here 2 nights in early June 2023. The hotel room was large and comfortable and modern enough. Would have been nice to have a hot pot/coffee available in the room. There is a good breakfast, and a nice view of the Matterhorn outside the back by the breakfast room. Things to be aware of: There is major construction for a cable car station right across from the hotel, and the street/walkway was also right in front of my room - so no opportunity to really open any window. There is no reception staff after 9, so I could hear several people putting in the code to get in, or calling to get the code to get in the door. The construction started anytime between 6:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Sleeping time was quiet though. I wanted to love it - and the town of Zermatt is great, but just couldn’t get past my room location and noise, and was told there was no option to change rooms.

I stayed here for three nights in early September and was very impressed. I had a mountain view room with a balcony and the view of the Matterhorn was superb. In fact, the only things I could see from my balcony was rocky slopes, pine trees, small old barns and of course, the Matterhorn. No other hotels or buildings marred the view. My room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The hotel is steps away from the cable cars to Schwarzee, etc. It was moderately priced too. Special mention must be made of the wonderful manager Pierre - he was so friendly and helpful and seemed to go out of his way to make sure I was completely satisfied. I would absolutely stay here again.

L'impagabile vista del Cervino dalla camera ripaga della posizione un po' decentrata di questo bellissimo hotel rispetto alla stazione. D'altra parte vi è un servizio gratuito di autobus oppure si può fare una breva passeggiata per raggiungere il centro di questa simpatica cittadina svizzera. E' praticamente di fronte alla funivia che porta verso il Cervino. L'hotel è piccolo ed estremamente tranquillo, le camere non grandissime ma molto comode: la nostra aveva un ampio terrazzo da cui la vista spaziava sulle montagne, Cervino compreso. Ottima la colazione con un servizio molto professionale e cortese, come del resto tutta l'accoglienza ricevuta.

Chambre confortable propre , balcon donnant sur le cervin , magnifique . Un peu déçue car hôtel devait venir nous chercher à la gare et au dernier moment m’a dit de me débrouiller avec un taxi ( taxi d’arrivée que les autres hôtels prennent en charge mais visiblement pas là) Petit déjeuner bon mais pas exceptionnel Impossible de descendre le chien ds la salle de petit déjeuner . A 8 h du soir hôtel fermé , plus de réception . Personnel pas très sympathique , sauf les femmes de ménages très efficaces , mais la patronne on en parle même pas , lui décrocher un sourire est je pense impossible . Elle nous voit attendre pour des avis et ne s’approche jamais , est littéralement odieuse ! Et c’est vraiment dommage car l’hôtel est sympathique . Visiblement le fait d’être français lui pose un pb , car avec les suisses ou allemands , elle n’a pas le même comportement . Très décevant. Après la vue le confort pour un prix acceptable ici
