Silvana Mountain Hotel

Couldn't fault this hotel. Everything was perfect. Location was the best in zermatt. It was ski in ski out. Lovely room with great view. Really enjoyed the food. They really looked after you. I couldn't find one of my gloves on the first day and thought I must have left it at home. But they lent me a glove so I could still go out skiing the first day rather than having to spend the time going to shops to find a comfortable pair of gloves. That evening I found my glove. Service is amazing.

3rd year in a row and its just a wonderful place-legit ski/in ski out...the trail is 20 feet from your room. The meals are outstanding. The pool is wonderful and the service is outstanding. We come here to escape from the meat grinder of washington dc and this hotel and mountain enables us to do that. Its like traveling back in time when things were simpler and definitely healthier. We skied 6 days-hard- and came back to the hotel to swim, eat well and drink great wine-what more could one ask for.

What a wonderful place! The hotel is situated up on the slopes above Zermatt, just a 5-minute walk from the Furi gondola station, but of course you can ski there in 30 seconds, as well as ski back to your hotel from the slopes above. I stayed there for 3 nights in a single room in the small building across from the main building. The room was perfect, the bed comfortable with a great comforter, and the bathroom floor was heated - what a treat. Breakfast was delicious, and the spa downstairs was excellent. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to come back.

Amazing ski in and out resort. We rented the chalet which had an outstanding interior, cozy and warm. The breakfast buffet and the 5 course dinner you can easily compare to a 5 star restaurant . It is a family owned resort and you feel they put their life and love in it. Thanks to the whole crew for an unforgettable ski vacation.

This was our 2nd skitrip at the Silvana Mountain Hotel and just like last year our stay was absolutely wonderful. The staff is so welcoming, thoughtful and genuinely friendly. Also, the breakfast and dinner are very tasteful, really what you need before and after a day of skiing. The rooms are cozy, modern and very practically furnished. To top it all, the location is just perfect: next to the slopes and in a quite, super relaxing environment. We are looking forward to come back soon.

We stayed in Silvana for a week of ski (on the slopes!) for the fifth year in a row. So that's no coincidence. The hotel is very cosy, the rooms stylish, clean and comfortable. The wellness are is compact but perfect. The breakfast is good, the reception and staff very helpful and extremely friendly. So for us, this is a fixed date each year! Family run, small-scale, cosy but professional quality service! The hotel is also a very nice lunch place on the slopes. (the ski area is quite strict on closing lifts with high winds, so we could not ski to Italy a single day, and also Zermatt lifts were closed a day. The Matternhorn organisation is by the way not very helpful with refunds, bad service. So be careful with pre-booked or pre-bought ski passes (as we did). This has of course nothing to do with the hotel Silvana. The ski area could get some lessons in customer service from the hotel :)
