The hotel itself was quite pleasant, the reception, bar and restaurant was lovely and we had a good stay overall and discussed returning again However given our experience with the staff on the last day we most certainly wont be! and find it a complete insult in the way we were treated, we spent 2 nights there and over €800 euros on rooms and food etc. Whilst waiting for a taxi at 0830-0900 in the morning to leave we were sat working on a table, a gentle man politely explained they would be putting xmas decorations out but we told him not to worry as we would be leaving in 15-20 mins However some further workers (ladies that worked in the bar area and breakfast area) clearly not realising we spoke and understood Dutch language thought we were just English and began to speak about us in Dutch saying things like "just get rid of those two girls" "They need to go now" - This was a complete insult, given how much we just spent at the hotel, this hotel clearly doesn't appreciate their guests and its certainly not the way to treat guests. I will ensure to look for an alternative next time visiting or an Airbnb as this clearly is common practice and they have no appreciation for manners and paying guests

We were staying at de Borgh for a whole week due to a business trip, the rooms were very clean and the beds confortable. The service from the staff was also excellent, both in the reception and in the bar/restaurant, would gladly stay at the Borgh again.

We had an awesome time! From the moment we walked in we were welcomed by a nice and friendly manager. His expertise was clearly noticed. His great advice for a nice boat tripe over the Biesbosch was very good experienced. This you could book right at the Hotel. All staff were very nice and kind and had a good sense of humor. The restaurant was very good and a nice choice of a la carte. Everything we eat was made with class! Breakfast very good arranged with delicious choices. Will we recommend Hotel de Borgh? Definitely yes!

Very friendly personel and good quality of food. Also the breakfast was very complete. Nothing the wish more. Rooms were more then big enough , maybe only point was that bathroom was a little bit outdated

I had an overnight stay with my 11 year old daughter. Even though I had the opportunity to check in online previous to my arrival I didn't. After a busy day of shopping, sightseeing and lots of walking in a museum and city nearby we arrived around dinnertime. The clerk at the front desk was very kind to check us in and reminded me that I hadn't booked breakfast. He offered me the opportunity to still do so if we wished to. I thought it was kind of him. I declined wich was equally fine and after that he explained all other details The room was nice and clean and just like the posted pictures. After a nice shower me and my daughter got some well deserved sleep on the comfy beds. I would certainly recommend a stay here !!

Nice hotel with pleasant staff. Comfortable rooms, nice restaurant and close to city center with many restaurants. 10 minute walk to train station makes it easy to get to. Smaller town with a lot of conveniences. We didn’t mind but there’s no air conditioning but they do provide a fan. Opening the outside door let’s a nice breeze in also.

It’s not the first time I have stayed at DeBorgh, the rooms are a good size and are very clean, the choice, value of food in the restaurant is excellent. All the staff are first class. I do a flair bit of travelling however achieving the consistency high levels of customer service is a credit to all the team at DeBorgh. 10 out of 10.👍

We booked a last minute room for 12 March 2022. Travelling by train, the hotel is on a walking distance of the station of Zevenbergen. The room was large, with a desk and two seats. The Bathroom was very clean. The beds were ok. The shower was incredible: better than at home. We asked to rent bicycles. Although were were there off-season the employee at the desk found a solution and we could rent two bicycles on 13 March, no e-bikes but regular bikes. The breakfast was good, the coffee offered was incredible. I think it was the best coffee we had during breakfast in many years (espresso was real espresso: strong coffee with a great taste). On the 12 of March we had dinner in the restaurant of the hotel. We ordered Chateau Briand (59 euros for two people). We got the medium meat. Unfortunately it was awful. We mentioned it to the waiter and we got a new plate of Chateau Briand. This time it was perfect. The best meat you can wish for. Not sure how this is possible: first awful meat, next excellent meat. All employees are very friendly and service minded. We only paid € 72,50 for one night (one room, 2 beds) including breakfast. We will come back!
