I cannot stress enough how much I loved staying here! I originally had 3 nights here and ended up booking an extra 2 nights because they were so great. The staff are super helpful and definitely go the extra mile to help you find what you need and go wherever you want to. They helped book all the national parks and such for me as well as explaining each route. Breakfast was good every morning and they even shared a couple of their own meals with me too. Apart from the lovely people, the room is absolutely beautiful with huge windows showing the mountainous view, a super comfortable bed and neat little bathroom with a fab double headed shower. It was cleaned every day and kept to a high standard. The area is stunning with transitional houses and a river running through it, much nicer than staying in the city I think. It’s right next to the national park and only a bus away from the mountain and it’s cheap to get around in taxi’s anyway. I cannot recommend enough, especially for the price!

My family and I truly enjoyed our stay at Yuxi Homestay! The hotel owner was so kind and helpful with planning our itinerary and booking tickets for Wulingyuan, Tianmen Mountain, Huanglong Cave, and the Glass Bridge. Our room was simultaneously cozy and spacious, with a beautiful view. Every morning we were treated to a delicious free breakfast. It’s a family business, and it really shows. They were all very kind and the little daughter running around was very cute too. If you speak Chinese, you’ll get to experience how fun they are. If you don’t, they’ll try their best anyway so try to meet them halfway. There’s a great restaurant right around the corner too, and the owner there is a good friend of the hotel owner. The restaurant name is Tu Jia Xiao Er, or 土家小二. I don’t think I’d want to stay anywhere else if/when I come back to Zhangjiajie!
