The No. 5 Valley Hotel should be a destination in its own right for everyone visiting Zhangjiajie! Not only are the views spectacular, the hotel itself is so beautiful. The rooms are both rustic and modern and the staff are kind, welcoming, and helpful. They offer a pick-up service from both the airport and train station, and dropped us off and picked us up at our convenience to and from the park, although it was difficult to leave the hotel and we had spend at least one day lazing about and enjoying the pools, my favourite being the heated infinity pool overlooking the valley - a great soak after a day of walking in the park! Most of the staff spoke English, and Rain advised us on the best routes to take to get the most of our visit. Mei, who grew up right next door, offered us a variety of her hand-picked tea, introducing us to the local medicinal 'berry tea' (莓茶). It was a magical stay and we will be back as soon as we can! (Oh and the bed was possibly the most heavenly we have slept on!)

The No. 5 valley inn was absolutely amazing. Stunning views, great food, great friendly service, and right next to the park. Frankie was super helpful, booked our tickets to the park, took us to the park and picked us up whenever we wanted to go. The rest of the staff were also all wonderful, and there were three very cute hotel pets. We wish we could have stayed longer! If you're considering going to Zhangjiajie, don't look any further---just book here!

This place is heavenly. It is five minutes drive from the National Park - to which Frankie and the other staff will drive you and pick you up from whenever you want. Plus they will give you a map and a detailed explanation of how to do a two-day self-tour of all the highlights of the park. The hotel itself is great - our room was a self contained chalet with 3 rooms, lovely and big with lovely views. The infinity pool terrace is the perfect place to watch the sunset before going inside for a lovely fresh cooked dinner. Overall a perfect place to explore Avatar mountain and the rest of the national park. Frankie is the perfect host.

The hotel is wonderful, great location and friendly staff. Frankie helped to book trips into Zhangjiajie National Park which meant we did not have to wait in any lines - this made the day hassle free. Food in the evening was delicious! Bar staff was friendly and there is optional karaoke. There is a heated pool available (see photos) perfect for soaking tired feet a lifter a long day of hiking - so don’t forget your swimming things

My partner and I had the pleasure of staying at the no. 5 valley in. From having a long travel day and arriving to the accomodation at 9pm we were greeted by the worker Frankie and another wonderful worker carrying our luggage in and welcoming us with tea in the reception area which was so nice and cosy with a fireplace running. Despite Kitchen being closed, they organised meals for us as they knew we hadn’t yet. They welcomed us to our room where we were absolutely blown away with how beautiful and comfortable it was. It was the best hotel we stayed out in our whole trip to China, we loved the tea room that it came with. Frankie went above and beyond in helping us have a great stay and helping us navigate the national park. Frankie provided us with transfers to the national park whenever we wanted and gave us lots of tips for our future trips. I highly recommend staying here for a combination of comfort and luxury. Thanks guys! The animals who live there are so cute as well hehe

Great hotel with great personnel ! The pool and the surrounding area is gorgeous

We had an amazing time at the hotel. It is located very close to the park which is convenient, even more as Rain kindly dropped us from the hotel to the park and picked us up from the park when we needed it. We also had an amazing tea experience with the tea master, who showed us how to properly enjoy a tea ceremony and made us taste a variety of tea she prepared. Of course, we booked the hotel for its amazing view and pool which did not disappoint. We definitely recommend this hotel !

Food was great, the service from Rain as excellent, he helped us a lot with all of our questions,  booking tickets etc. His English is excellent and he has a lot of info and tips. The location is far from the other town, but very close to the West gate and the hotel can drop you off to visit the park each morning. We loved the tranquility and views from the hotel. If you don’t mind staying at the hotel once there, it’s perfect. It’s far from any restaurants etc but the food and options are solid, especially if only staying a few days. The hot water and water pressure was at times iffy, but Rain fixed it for us immediately each time. There’s a beautiful little walking path down the valley, and a garden. Pool wasn’t heated or open while we were there in March but looks beautiful. The room is as described and very nice. Highly recommend and would go back again.

The hotel’s location is quite far from downtown Zhangjiajie, approximately around 45min car drive. However, the hotel is great! Aside from majestic view of the valley, their service and care for their guests is impeccable. Mr Qin and his colleagues were so warm and thoughtful to the point of creating a lovely small community that made this Christmas one to remember. They created some small dumpling making activity for the guests and even had some KTV available if you and your friends would want to have some singalong night. The food they offer is also amazing, and their home made tea is also a must try. Only concern I have would be the bathroom not having a heater, but all in all I would definitely recommend this place as a must visit in Zhangjiajie.

Our stay with Frankie was absolutely fantastic! He went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. Frankie arranged entrance tickets for us and even drove us to the nearby national park (West entrance), which was only a 5-minute car ride away. His hospitality was exceptional, and he took excellent care of us throughout our visit. The meals were another highlight of our stay—both breakfast and dinner were freshly cooked and absolutely delicious. We truly felt at home and appreciated the warm and personal touch. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a welcoming and convenient place to stay near the Zhangjiajie national park!

We had a lovely stay at No.5 Valley Inn. The view from the pool and restaurant was amazing, the food at dinner was fresh and delicious, and the service was fantastic. The team responded to our messages in a timely manner and helped us get tickets to everything we wanted to see while there.

Such a nice hotel! The location is absolutely incredible, only a 15 minute jog or 5 minute drive to the west gate of the national park (the hotel also offers complimentary drop-off and pick-up from the gate!). The sunset viewpoint from the infinity pool is stunning, the room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were incredibly helpful, like Rain. The Tea Master even wrote us a beautiful 2 meter Chinese calligraphy scroll to celebrate our recent engagement! She was genuinely one of the highlights of our trip to China, thank you for teaching us all about the history of tea and Chinese culture. Not the best location if you wanted to see the glass bridge, but honestly the rest of Zhangjiajie was so good we didn't feel like we missed anything! Would recommend this hotel to everyone, 5/5 stars from us

Great location & very clean. The service offered is spectacular. Frankie and his staff worked extremely hard to make sure my stay was as good as possible. They opened breakfast earlier to accommodate me, they closed later for the same reason. The best service I have received in a hotel. 10/10

An amazing place to stay! Thanks to Rain and his team for looking after us. From organising our tickets to the Zhangjiajie National Park (at a discount), to daily drop off and pick ups just 5 minutes down the road from the hotel to the West gate. Excellent food at the restaurant served with produce grown locally, and western options if you prefer that. The heated pool was a real bonus after a long day hiking.
