Zhangjiajie Mido Inn (Wulingyuan East Gate)

This family-owned hotel was perfect! When I arrived, my room got upgraded for free on the 5th floor. The room was really nice, clean and quiet. Just know that there are no lift, but I was helped with my suitcase. The location is super convenient: around 10 minutes walk from the East entrance of the famous Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan park, 10 minutes walk from the bus station (very useful!) and 30 minutes walk from what seems to be the area’s downtown, but the street next to the hotel’s has plenty of restaurants and even a night market, which is enough. However, what I will remember most is the owner’s kindness. She made sure that I didn’t lack anything. For example, I asked if there was a microwave and even though she didn’t have one, she said she could go to a friend’s house to use theirs. Furthermore, she helped me plan my hike to Wulingyuan even though it was late at night (I’m sorry!) and even though some important paths were closed (which needed a major rerouting from the usual suggested itinerary). It was also very detailed and precise, the owner was kind enough to patiently give me all of the explanations needed and to answer to all of my questions. I was also given a free map and unlimited water bottles. The owner even offered me one when I was checking out but I didn’t dare accept it🤭 PS: A tip for fellow travellers: the first bus going to the South entrance doesn’t leave at exactly 6:30 am. The bus station itself opens at 6:40 am ish🚌🚐

I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. It's clean and the staff is very helpful. Located very near to the East Entrance of Wulingyuan. The staff helped explain Zhangjiajie routes to me. This hotel has several washing machines for its guests to use. Excellent and value for money hotel.
