Luyao Inn (Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain Cableway)

I stayed for 3 days 2 nights, I choose this boutique because the location is very close to Tianmenshan Cableway only 5 minutes by walk. There is alot of restaurants, stores and spa nearby. The room is nice,they have comfortable beds, clean linens, and a peaceful atmosphere – perfect for rest after long journeys exploring Zhangjiajie. The owner very nice, we have lunch together. She offered me delicious Chinese food that she made and gave me specialty plum tea. Her daughter very helpful she helped me to book ticket for Zhangjiajie National Park, and explaining the best route and the way to go there easily, even though they are speak less English, they are very patiently explaining through translator app. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. Looking forward to my next visit already.

Wonderful place to stay! Very clean and good value for money. The owner is so so so friendly and I ended up eating dinner with her one night. The surrounding streets have lots of restaurants and very convenient for Tianmen mountain cable car. Also useful to have free washing facilities. Very helpful in booking all the activities. It’s very busy to book the activities in summer holidays so maybe worth getting in contact in advance if there is a certain gate or time you want to book. 11/10 would recommend :)

Great location! You're surrounded with food restaurants with a great atmosphere. The cableway is just a cross the street. The service was great! They helped you plan your trip and can help you book tickets. Room is small but cozy. It's clean.

This small hotel in Zhangjiajie City was a fantastic place to stay and made our trip truly memorable. Located in a quiet yet central part of the city, it’s close to local restaurants, convenience stores, and only a short drive from both the train station and the airport. It’s also well-connected for visiting top attractions like Tianmen Mountain and the National Forest Park. The rooms were very clean, nicely decorated, and equipped with everything we needed—comfortable beds, strong air conditioning, and reliable Wi-Fi. Although it’s a small hotel, the attention to detail and quality was impressive. The best part of our stay was the exceptional hospitality. The owners were incredibly welcoming and generous with their time. They offered helpful travel advice, helped us plan our itinerary, and even arranged transportation to key sites. We felt well taken care of throughout our stay. Each morning, they served a homemade breakfast with fresh, local ingredients—simple but delicious. In the evenings, we enjoyed relaxing in the quiet courtyard or chatting with the friendly staff in the lounge. This hotel offers genuine comfort, great value, and a warm, personal touch. If you’re staying in Zhangjiajie City, don’t miss this hidden gem!

This small hotel is perfect and is situated in an excellent location, close to the Tianmenshan Cableway station, which serves as the starting point for the A route to Tianmen Mountain. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a laundry service available, but they do not have a tumble dryer. Instead, they will hang your clothes outside in the hot weather. However, if you visit during the wet or cold season, you will need to dry your clothes in your room. We visited in June, which was both scorching hot and rainy. While there is no fridge in the room, you can ask the staff to store your food in their refrigerator.
