Definitely recommend 💯 It's a great place to stay! The room had a good smell, unlike the vast majority of places I've stayed at, it's also priced really well and the lady was super friendly and helpful.

Stayed at Xinghe Qingmeng Folklore Inn, a true hidden gem right by the East Gate of Zhangjiajie National Park. The location is perfect for hitting the trails early. The owners are incredibly helpful, offering discounted park tickets, luggage storage, and great insider tips. My room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed, including AC and a big window. The area is quiet and safe, with restaurants and shops just a short walk away. Highly recommend for a friendly, convenient, and value-for-money stay.

My stay at Xinghe Folklore Inn was absolutely amazing. I stayed in the queen room which looked exactly as it did in the photos online. Firstly, the room was very comfy and had a homely feel to it, as well as being clean and providing amenities. It also had a lovely view of a river, where you can see people washing their clothes in the morning giving it a lovely rural nature vibe. The hosts were even better, without the lovely host I would have not been able to do as much as I did in the National Park. Not only did she help me buy tickets at good value, she also designed me two itenaries for both days I visited, explained everything in great detail and even added some spots (Donguan) that are no longer direct routes in the park anymore. This meant there was no people there which gave it a private feel. She also helped me get refunded after being scammed at the park, she done this in literally less than 5 minutes which was amazing. Great value for money. A clean and tidy hotel about a 20-minute walk from the park’s main entrance. The bed was comfortable and the owner was extremely helpful, assisting me in planning my visit to the park as well as booking tickets. The complimentary morning coffee was much appreciated, as was the ride to the bus station on their electric scooter.

Our stay here was great. The lady at the front desk is the most helpful. She has an app to help translate between Chinese and any language you speak, so you can communicate easily and ask for anything. She helped us get the National Forest Park and Grand Canyon tickets at a small discount, but most importantly she explained to us the route we needed to take; everything from which bus to take, how long to spend somewhere, and what is worth our time and what not. If we had a problem with something (like if a ticket was misprinted) , she was there to help and communicate with people in Chinese (which we could not do). The room was clean and beautiful with a nice view to a small streak and air conditioning, which was crucial. We could have a couple of water bottles any time we asked. The location is also pretty great; we mostly used Didi/taxi to get around, which was around 9 ¥ for a ride to the East gate of the park or the town center. There are also restaurants and convenience stores nearby (the owner also had recommendations to give there).
