Zulu Rock Lodge - Babanango Game Reserve

The accommodation and views of the surrounding mountains and umfolozi river are breathtaking. These are truly the best sunsets. The kitchen staff and dining experience is other worldly. As the lodge is relatively small guest wise, this is reflected in the attention to detail and the very personable, friendly and professional staff. My stay was short so will definitely be back. I fully recommend Zulu rock lodge for an immersive, authentic, South African hospitality experience.

Beautiful picturesque setting with amazing food and overall hospitality. Staff very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are private and offer a peaceful environment for total relaxation. We also had Spa treatments set up in our rooms. Overall highly recommend.

Absolutely incredible experience! From start to finish our stay here exceeded every expectation. The accommodation was amazing immersed in nature, offering beautiful views and every comfort you could want. The staff were beyond attentive, ensuring every detail was taken care of with genuine warmth and professionalism. The food was a highlight on its own—a blend of local flavours and gourmet touches that made each meal fantastic. And the safari itself? Breathtaking! Special shout out to Sifiso the ranger that took us out every day. He was exceptionally knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights into the wildlife and landscape. He went above and beyond to ensure we saw as much as possible and sharing so much of his knowledge as he went. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we would recommend to anyone seeking the perfect blend of adventure and luxury. We can’t wait to return!
