Location – 9/10
One of the biggest advantages of Hotel Bristol is its central location. It’s just a 5-minute walk from Zurich’s main train station (Zürich Hauptbahnhof), making it super easy to get around. The Old Town (Altstadt), the Bahnhofstrasse shopping street, and the Swiss National Museum are all within walking distance. Despite being so central, the hotel is in a relatively quiet area, which is a bonus.
Rooms – 7.5/10
The rooms are clean, functional, and spacious by Zurich standards. While not the most luxurious, they provide everything you need, including comfortable beds, a desk, a TV, and a private bathroom. Some rooms could use a bit of modern updating, but for the price point, they are well-maintained and comfortable.
Service – 8.5/10
The staff is friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with recommendations or directions. Check-in and check-out are smooth, and the front desk is available 24/7. They also offer luggage storage, which is convenient if you have a late departure.
Breakfast – 7.5/10
The hotel offers a complimentary breakfast, which is a nice touch. The selection includes breads, cheeses, cold cuts, yogurt, fruits, and cereals, along with coffee and tea. While not extravagant, it’s a good way to start the day. The breakfast area can get a bit crowded during peak hours.
Amenities – 7/10
Since this is a budget-friendly hotel, the amenities are basic. There’s no gym, restaurant, or spa, but there is free WiFi, which works well. The heating and ventilation in the rooms are effective, but there’s no air conditioning, which might be a downside in the summer.
