Crowne Plaza Zurich recensioner

The hotel is a little away from the center (15~20 min by tram), plus 4min walk to the station. The check-in was quick, although in proper Swiss fashion the check-in time is only at 3pm. Fortunately, we were allowed to move in earlier. The room is big enough, but if you have big suitcases it'll be a bit tight. The staff is courteous and helpful, and try to accommodate if they can. The breakfast selection isn't too wide, but it's well arranged and has most of what you'd expect. There's a proper gym (exceedingly rare) with enough equipment to satisfy all but the pros. However, it does get a bit busy at times. They also have a decent swimming pool. There's a workstation with a printer next to the reception that guests can use for free - perfect if you need to print out tickets. They were happy to hold our baggage after we moved out until our flight in the evening - much appreciated. We paid about 125CHF a night for a standard room for two including breakfast, which is a good deal in Zurich. All things considered, there's very little to complain about. We had an excellent stay, and would love to stay there again.

(1) I was okay putting down my luggage at 9am and check in later, but they told me the room was ready. I went to the room it was not cleaned. Imagine getting into a room where the blanket looked like someone was still in the room (luckily there was no one inside). (2) They gave me another room. But the room was not very clean. The towels did not look okay (it was a bit messy, not arranged in a tidy manner). (3) A window was open in the new room they gave me. I closed it before I went out and found that it was open again when I got back. I had already put up a "Do not disturb" sign on the door. (4) The blow drier worked for 30 seconds each time. Then wait for a minute, it worked again. I had to spent the first night sleeping with my hair half-dried. After (1)-(3) I did not want to talk to the counter.
