Splendid Service, great food and superior rooms. I can highly recommend this place.

as usual super nice and great value for money an der Valk - been staying with them for 30 years big rooms, very well decked out, perhaps a tiny bit stark but welcoming all the same could use a Nespresso machine with balck capsules :-)

Great location near the river. Quite and large rooms. Efficient staff. Actually, my favorite south of Rotterdam. But my restaurant experience was awful. soup and salad much too salty and spicy. Next time I will take my dinner somewhere else.

Stays her during work week. Kind helpfull staff both at reception and at the restaurant. Rooms are spacious and clean. Possible to get a lunchbox to bring and rent a bike if needed. Situated a little away from everything next to a river (Oude Maas), which gives a nice and calm atmosphere.

The hotel is nice with very good welcome from Staff. Place is quiet wity no noise. Food (restaurant) is good but perhaps a little bit expenseive. Bar is very nice and a lot of different beers. Rooms are large enough with space

VERY NOISY ROOMS!!!!!! 2nd floor for which you pay 197 euros with breakfast. Normally we don't have this when we stay in a hotel. We could literally hear the neighbor on the phone and woke up to the kids staying in their room across the hall. If someone says something in the hallway, it's as if they're in your room. In fact, I wouldn't walk in the hallway with your children, because there are also sounds that you hear very loudly that you actually don't want to hear. The location is beautiful and it is nice that you can check out later, the restaurant staff is very friendly. The manager (she said she was, but she wasn't) at the front desk, on the other hand, doesn't understand what customer service means. We asked if we could get a quieter room and got a whole story about how much money an upgrade would cost her. She said that we might be able to go to the suite, but we had to pay for it and it would not be available the next day, while we could simply book it online the next day. I don't like it when people lie flat out to your face. Very unfortunate because they could really get a lot more out of this hotel. We will not choose this hotel again.

Couldn't ask for more! Clean and stylish interiors, good indoor activities options (pool & gym- perfect to loose some pressure after whole day of meetings at the office). Big breakfast selection at the restaurant, tasty dinners. Bed was also very comfortable- I've slept like a baby.

Everything was very nice again, friendly welcome, nice and well-prepared rooms, fine food and drinks, nice christmas decoration in winter, in summer it is nice sitting outside, will come again next year!

Excellent well-run hotel. Have stayed there already on many occasions and confirm that this hotel suits best my expectations in the area. The staff is top-notch, especially as concerns the personnel in the restaurant whose high level of service and food preparation skill is exceptional.

Beautiful hotel and surrounds. Very peaceful yet not far from the lovely Dortrecht. It's ell worth paying for a river view with balcony. I could spend hours watching the boats. Very nice restaurant and outside lounging area.

We had a very large room with all the needed facilities; we had an extra child bed which fit perfectly and was also large enough. The breakfast is delicious, with many options. Thee hotel staff is very helpful.

Stayed here a few times in the past as it has spacious rooms with pleasant views and great facilities - including a heated pool. The hotel is pet friendly and we travelled with a dog with no problems. Restaurant is very popular for good reason - the food and service is excellent. Breakfast has a great selection and always tastes fresh. The location and parking feels very secure and is surrounded by grasslands and waterways. We enjoyed morning walks with the dog. Highly recommended.
