"The place is convenient if you're going to Playa del Carmen for a short time, the location is perfect, close to everything and at the same time far from the noise, the Walmart next to the hotel it was a plus, it is close to the ADO but you need to check first, if you go to ADO turista it will be far away, like 15 minutes walking and if you go to the other ADO terminal if will be just a few minutes."

The hotel pool was amazing! Lots of seating and big enough that it never felt crowded.

"La habitación era bastante grande, contaba con un salón con sofá, la habitación que era independiente del salón y el baño que era bastante espacioso. Holbox no es un pueblo muy grande por lo que, estas cerca de todo en este hotel, pero no estas dentro de la zona de bares, restaurantes y a unos 5 minutos andando de la playa. De noche se me hizo un poco oscuro el camino al volver al hotel. Asi que bueno, si buscas tranquilidad y comodidad a buen precio, esta bastante bien."

"This hotel is perfectly okay it's in a good location in the swimming pool is cold because it's surrounded by six floors of the hotel. The rest of places I've been the swimming pools have been hot. Don't lose the hotel key cuz they'll charge you 100 pesos. They can't recommend good restaurants but the staff is okay. The room has a good air conditioner in it has a refrigerator. I would stay here again. It's not perfect but it's okay and then a good location. One bad thing is you're not supposed to flush the toilet paper in the toilet I don't like that that's gross. Whenever I did the number two I did flush the toilet paper cuz that's just gnarly gross. One more problem internet was terrible. On the TV and on my phone it was okay in my computer for some reason. TV was a bit hard work. Bring your computer because internet on my phone didn't not work very well at all and was incredibly slow."

"I recently stayed at the City Express Junior by Marriott in Cancun, and overall, I was very pleased with my experience. The hotel was clean and well-maintained, which made my stay comfortable from the start. I also loved how conveniently located it was—just a short distance from shopping centers and popular attractions, making it easy to explore the area.
The service stood out as well; the staff members were friendly and always ready to help with directions or recommendations. Although the rooms were on the smaller side, they had everything I needed for a short stay. The amenities, including the breakfast area and common spaces, were well-kept and made for a pleasant environment to relax in.
My only minor complaint is that the walls seemed a bit thin, so I occasionally heard noise from the hallway. However, it wasn’t enough to significantly affect my stay. Overall, I’d recommend City Express Junior by Marriott Cancun to travelers looking for a clean, convenient, and budget-friendly option in the city. I look forward to returning on my next trip to Cancun!"

Frukosten var okej, men middagen var genomsnittlig med färre rätter än frukost. Vi åt middag, som sades vara en buffé, med bara några få varianter och smaken var inte särskilt god. Hotellstolen var inte stabil och jag ramlade. Hotellservicen är bara okej.
Jag kommer inte att bo på detta hotell igen när jag går till Cancun."

Stay here if you want to enjoy a beautiful spa experience only steps away from your hotel room.
Don’t stay here is you expect to be close to downtown. It’s at least a twenty minute walk to downtown, including if you just need a quick drink from a convenience store, and having to take a taxi each time quickly adds up! Don’t even think about walking to and from the hotel after sunset as the mosquitoes will eat you very quickly (you won’t even make it half way). Hence, I sort of wished I picked any hotel closer to downtown as I believe their premium is worth it just on this fact alone.
Don’t stay here if you want variety with the included breakfast. The complimentary breakfast will have you searching for the rooftop entrance across the street, climb the stairs to be presented three preset breakfast options; omelette or scrambled eggs with either cheese or ham or pancakes. Granted, a bit of fruits and yogurt is included along with the eggs, but it’s pretty basic. Though I’m not complaining when you get to have freshly prepared breakfast on the rooftop overlooking the Holbox white beach! Just don’t expect much nor to have a variety of options. But it will get the job done! Breakfast was 8:30-10:30am and we hung around past that to enjoy coffee on the rooftop WIFI.
Don’t stay here if you are expecting a good pool experience. The two small pools on the property aren’t running all the time so it doesn’t look appealing to get into.
Don’t stay here if you are expecting a view from your hotel room. You won’t see any bit of the ocean - just the hotels in front and behind this hotel.
We upgraded from the Double Room to the King suite and really glad we did because we got a nice balcony and comfortable bed with plenty of different pillow options. We also looked into upgrading to the King suite with bathtub option but glad we didn’t opt for it as the bathtub didn’t look appealing and just took up all the living room space. We wish the rooms were a bit more spacious, with perhaps some living room furniture, otherwise you just get a basic bed with nightstands, TV with basic cable and basic bathroom. The water pressure was good and quickly warmed up. The room AC was great and didn’t need to be run long. The issue mainly was the poor insulating as we heard out downstairs neighbours and likely would have heard whoever was across from us if there was anyone. There was no safe or iron in the room unfortunately.
If beach clubs are your thing, there are three decent options very close by. We checked out “HAU” beach club directly across from this hotel. This beach club didn’t have a minimum, had a generous happy hour (4-7pm), but unfortunately we got diarrhea after their mojitos. Although they were delicious mojitos so it’s hard to regret it.
I primarily booked this place to get a great spa experience and they exceeded my expectations. Thus, based on this experience, this hotel deserves nothing less than five stars.
I also can’t forget to mention the hotel staff were incredibly helpful during our stay. Shoutout to all the concierges and especially including Mateo, Almira and Marianna in the reservations department!

SSS72I found this property Ujo have good reviews on Trip.con and wanted to give it a try. I preferred apartment style stays cos the convenience of having a kitchen allows flexibility for diet-restricted people.
The place looked modern and clean. Pretty spacious and functional. Has a balcony with a (not so grande, lol) view of the neighborhood. It was so hot outside even in November, like a sauna, so we didn’t spend anytime on the balcony and kept windows and doors shut to prevent heat and bugs.
The AC and two ceiling fans in our room helped greatly for temperature control, making our stay comfortable. Note: the AC only works when you use the key card in the room — inserting it in the power slot and then AC can be turned on. Without a note about it, I thought the AC was not working. But glad the lady there helped to call and figure it out. Simple as that.
The bathroom is interesting. It’s mostly good, got a ceiling shower and worked well. They provided organic wash, shampoo, and conditioner. The only part that didn’t make too much sense is the short half wall that is functioning as a divider between the shower part and the dry part of the bathroom. Water would easily splash out — it felt like it was designed for shorter users and didn’t account for a lot of tourists that are tall. Perhaps add a good old shower curtain? Mostly for the property’s own benefit of not getting the floor wet where it shouldn’t be.
I sent a request when I booked the room for the hosts to spray bug sprays in the room prior to my arrival. They quickly acknowledged that after my booking and did that before I checked in. Much appreciation.
When we checked out, we left our luggage to the host for a few hours. They are very helpful to put them away.
Also this place has bike rentals on site for a good price compared to what we saw outside of the property.
Finally, let’s talk about the overall area. We chose it also because it’s close location to ADO bus station as we came from Cancun via bus. We don’t have any interest in the crazy taxi prices and want to walk as much as we can. So this walkable property (less than 10minutes from Tulum ADO bus station) worked. I also chose it because it’s not on the Main Street where I looked at a lot of properties and found noise complaints. I cannot handle noise past 10pm. I need my rest. So overall, Ujo was quiet in itself, no really close-by clubs, no rooftop parties, and other visitors seemed respectful and not loud after 10pm. BUT, here is the reality, this is a town with many stray animals. And they sleep during the heated day time, and get active at night. So there were barking and meowing for sure that can pierce thru. As well as some traffic sound and remote club noises. Don’t expect 100% tranquility. I am fairly picky about noise but I would say given the town’s reality, this is a very decent spot. I was able to sleep thru the nights without much issue.
Overall the stay met the score it had on Trip.com (9.6/10) when I was booking. If I visit Tulum again, or if someone asked for a recommendation, I would stay/recommend this place.

Especially enjoyed the gourmet Italian restaurant, Chianti. Service there is the bomb! The pool is small and overcrowded, however. Not much seating around the pool either. The beach was sufficiently stocked with plenty of palapas and chairs, which was nice. Didn't have a problem getting a space on the beach any time of day. The color of the water in this location is absolutely breathtaking, but the roughness of the beach is tremendous. Very difficult to enjoy the water at all. Next time I will have to find a place with calmer waters. Getting a reservation for the gourmet restaurants is daunting, as usual for Mexico. I can never understand why making dinner reservations is so difficult to do at these all inclusive hotels. It is really ridiculous. The day we arrived, the ”concierge” (but really the timeshare sales person) promised to make a reservation for us for a few nights later to eat at the Italian restaurant, and she told us to check with her the day before to confirm the reservation. So I did exactly as she said but I was told that they cannot see what reservations are made until the day of the reservation. So I had to check again the day of, and of course there was no reservation made for us. They were able to give us a reservation for that evening, however. Good thing because I would have really been upset had they not, especially since we were going to be leaving the next day! Soooo very tired of this BS at the all inclusives. It's coming to the point where it's not even worth it to do the all-inclusive anymore. So very ridiculous, I swear. Something so easy has to be so difficult for them. Anyway, I wouldn't stay here again because we were not able to enjoy the pool at all, nor the beach because of the roughness of the water. Almost constantly there is a volleyball game going on in the pool and there's no room for anything else unless you want to get hit in the head by the ball! But the music around the pool was good most of the time.

LLuci.LuxyThis was our 3rd time here ( because of the jacuzzi in the room) . Unfortunately it was also our last visit . We paid for the room with jacuzzi . The AC in the room was broken , we couldn’t turn it off and it was freezing cold in there . We asked them if they could turn it off . They sent someone to fix it . We waited in front of the room for some time . They turned it off but the freezing cold air was still flowing and they told us ITS LIKE THAT WE CANT TURN IT OFF .. uh okay? We asked for another room . We changed the rooms and we discovered that the jacuzzi was not working 😂 the jets power was like when you turn on a faucet . We couldn’t even feel it. The water level was going down quickly so we had to refill the jacuzzi couple of times in one evening. Next day we asked for fixing it or changing the rooms, they sent someone again to fix it . We waited some time in front of our room as we didn’t want to leave our stuff unattended (probably around 1 hour) they were still fixing it and we had enough so we went to the pool. They “fixed” it in couple of hours and guess what . It was the same 😂🤌 I took the manager to the room and showed her the “power” of the jets and she told me that it is working . I told her I see it’s working but it has no power and this is not jacuzzi , it’s a bathtub with faucets on . She said this is the best they could do . I told her I was on the hotel before and I know how the jacuzzi should work and this is not working and I would like another room with all amenities working . She told me there are no more rooms left in our category 😂 only the ona with the broken AC . … I thought there will be some effort from their site to resolve this or offer something .. some gesture as an apology… but nothing they left us in room with broken jacuzzi and I explained to them many times that I booked the room only because of the jacuzzi . Tgey said sorry and left the room . sooo very disappointed and never coming back . I loved the hotel the first 2 times but it’s going downhill. That’s why it has 3 stars on Google and booking and everywhere else . Don’t go there if you don’t want to loose your nerves.

OodiestarsThe hotel room was comfortable. Didn’t really have any amenities available but there are shops and supermarket close by to be able to get some. The shower in my room was very weak for the water coming out and there was not much hot water so the water was not warm at all for showering. Bathroom was spacious and so was the room tho. Overall an ok place to stay for a short time.

GGästanvändareThe hotel is similar to a three star hotel but is very economical for the prices it offers. Best part was the morning breakfast buffet. They have a cook who carefully prepares omeletes and quesadillas, definitely recommend the chicken chipotle quesadillas. Buffet may not be included so you may want to double check to be sure.
The living quarters were basic as well. You will have a security box, closet, small tv. They commonly clean every morning, if you don't want it to be clean you can place the do not disturb packard. Everything in the room is white, you will have a decent view of the buildings around, but the view is relaxing. Btw, it's advised to secure your belongings if you have a suitcase, this logic would apply any hotel you go to, better safe then sorry. Staff were very nice, everyone within the buffet mostly speak perfect english, but the cleaning ladies were not able to. Just something to be aware of.
*** If you love starbucks, they have one at the entrance. They can't make a Barbie Frappuccino but they have most drinks similar to the aiports.
I did not go to the pool of gym due to frequent travel to Xcaret. This is a hotel morentowards those who do travel versus the cost of an all inclusive.
Overall, this hotel is budget friendly and the concierge/staff were very kind. Defintely worth the considering.
FYI, you want to run the water for a little to get it hot. Its more between hot and warm, they could update the shower heads. Bht they give you plenty of towels they have a blowdryer aswell.
Also, outlets may be an issue in the single rooms, the family rooms are well equiped.
Close to the airport aswell, the drive is around 10 minutes.
