I would highly recommend TownPlace Suites Lawrence. We booked here before and did not hesitate to book here again. After parking in the underground, protected inside parking garage, we were greeted by a friendly and accommodating front desk employee (BTW...they all are). Our two bedroom suite came as advertised: clean, comfortable and quiet. The location of the hotel is prime, just one block off Massachusetts Street and within easy walking distance to several restaurants and shops. The morning continental breakfast is generous and well managed, making it unnecessary to go elsewhere. I would say the location, comfort, parking, breakfast and friendly staff make this hotel worth the booking. A special shout out to two employees for their help and general good nature in making this a pleasurable experience. Beth, the early morning breakfast manager, was super. She set things up earlier than scheduled, trying her best to provide for those early risers (like me) and for those on an early schedule. Her attentiveness and general conversation were much appreciated. Eli came to the rescue when a heater unit was not working as it should. After maintenance could not solve the problem (more on that later), Eli volunteered to research the operating manual and came up with a troubleshooting guide. He and I proceeded to the room where he dove into the controls of the heater unit with guidance from the manual and fixed the problem in a matter of minutes. I was relieved and thankful he was able to do that. I thanked both employees for helping all of us to better overnight experiences, and they should be recognized for that. In addition, the fitness center and pool looked well maintained and inviting, but I didn't use either. There's always room for improvement, so here are my suggestions: - When I booked the room last October, I was told the parking garage door was under repair, had to be kept open but certainly would be fixed by January. It wasn't. Not a huge deal, but it does remove the security feature of a closed door and when working helps to keep inclement weather out. We were comfortable parking our car there, but this should be addressed. - Maintenance should consult with Eli on how to fix maintenance issues. I reported a heater problem Friday morning, the front desk employee took copious notes and said she would advise maintenance. Late in the day, the maintenance guy was leaving and when asked about our room , he said ”What about it?” Obviously didn't get the word. He checked it out but the heater was not fixed and when I asked that night, the front desk told me maintenance said that's how they work and nothing can be done. Enter Eli to show maintenance how it's correctable when using proper maintenance techniques. - The lobby furnishings look tired and need to be replaced. I understand work is in progress to do this. The carpets are also in need of replacement in certain areas. - The room 225 showerhead also needs to be replaced. It has three spray options, none of which are pleasurable. That's about it! The room was spacious but the aircon was leaking onto the carpet. The lighting was adequate and the beds were comfortable. Having breakfast included was definitely convenient because I had an early walk to the convention center. Daily cleaning was also a plus for this property.

Such a beautiful place to stay. I loved the location as well. We stayed in the Mayan room. I loved everything about it. The o my thing if I could change it would be little more space in the rooms. We found that we was dancing around each alot and could hardly move to get luggage situated. So that part left me little flustered for lack of space in that aspect. Otherwise I have absolutely no complaints. Was very clean and the bed and pillow was like sleeping on clouds. Loved that very much. Was so very comfy and cozy. Loved how they bring your room service with morning breakfast that was nice. The stay felt romantic and overall we had a great time and I would definitely stay again. Im sure we will be returning for yet another anniversary. We was here celebrating our 25yr anniversary and it was perfect! The staff are accommodating and friendly and the chateau is stunning. I highly recommend to others who are looking for a fun different themed room with a jacuzzi too. Lots of TV channels they offer as well. Thanks for everything!

Hotellet var rent och personalen var vänlig.Men det fanns inget annat än is så långt som reservdelarna gick.Snackstationen var där, men det fanns inget att köpa.Det fanns inga försäljningsmaskiner. Frukost inkluderades var några förpackade muffins och näringsgran barer, kaffe och juice.   Jag har bifogat bilder av rummet.Dörrramarna var helt brutna.Dörren skulle knappt öppna eller stänga.Toalettstolen var bruten, avgasfläkten hängde från taket i badrummet, och rökdetektorn hängde vid trådarna. Duschen skulle inte avbryta om du försökte ta ett bad, och pluggen fungerade inte för att hålla vattnet i toalett när du försökte ta ett bad. De flesta av dessa frågor är rutinmässiga underhållsobjekt.För $87.14, skulle jag åtminstone ha undantagit ett väl underhållet hotellrum.Rum 118 var inte det rummet. Location is really solid, with some decent dining across the street. Rooms were clean and beds were very comfortable. Staff was friendly and professional, but I got a weird vibe from them. Not sure what that was about. Thiis hotel chain definitely cuts costs when it comes to things like soap, shampoo, toilet paper, and other room amenities. That all felt super cheap. Breakfast was acceptable. Not a lot of options. Waffles were good, eggs were passable, sausage was standard. I'd not want to eat it for more than two days in a row, but it hit the spot for what it was. Wouldn't avoid in the future, but certainly not memorable.

The queen bed was pretty comfortable, clean sheets, however the lighting was average and the bathroom smelled like smoke in a non smoking room. The floor was uneven on the first floor not great carpet and a little dated. I only stayed one night so it was okay.. Tv, microwave and refrigerator were decent.  I didn't have the breakfast, but it did smell good. Location was close to K State,  however the surroundings were old rundown buildings and vacant storage. Lighting outside was bright at night so that was good. Overall average stay. Front desk staff were nice but check in did take a while.

We love Embassy Suites by Hilton! Number 1 reason for its safety and cleanliness! We stayed there for 6 nights, and it felt like home. They have a fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, TVs in the bedroom and living room, and the crib we requested for the baby! Plus points for the laundry on the second floor! Their breakfast is great, but, you know, six days with the same breakfast? I'd rather sleep. LOL! Seriously, we love how cozy our room is!

We had a great stay - part of a wedding group and dozens of family members staying in this hotel. Staff was very friendly and plentiful...especially important in the morning during breakfast! The food was good and they did a good job of keeping things full and hot. My only complaint was that our king room was quite small and the headboard of the bed was against the wall shared with the bathroom...so ”noises” were a problem in the morning.

Very nice stay in the heart of Old Town. I lived in Wichita for 6 years when I was stationed at McConnell but this is my first time staying here. Very nice staff, Lester checked me in and Alejandra was a cool bartender to talk to. Room was nice, hotel is beautiful. My only small complaint is that the bathroom was already empty but I just used the handsoap instead. Price wasn't to terrible for the location. 8.5/10
