Renfe Over-60s Fare

Renfe offers up to 40% discounts for those aged over 60 with the Tarjeta Dorada. The card costs €6 for one year, €12 for two years, and €15 for three years. If you are travelling on AVE and AVE international trains, you can get a 25% discount. For Avant trains, discounts vary between weekdays and weekends: 25% during weekdays and 40% on weekends. All services provided with discounted tickets are the same as those with full-price tickets, including the policies for changes and refunds.

Renfe Spanish Large Families Fare

Renfe supports large families in Spain with discounted fares, offering 20% for general and 50% for special category families on AVE and Larga Distancia trains. Renfe Children Fare

Renfe grants a 40% discount on ticket prices for children aged 4 to 13. These children can select seats on AVE, AVE International, and Avant trains, and they can make changes or get refunds according to the ticket type, potentially incurring a fee. Elige Confort costs a bit more than Elige Estándar. The notable difference is the wider seats and offer more leg room as they are XL Confort seats.

Prémium

The most expensive fare, Prémium, comes with unlimited free changes and refunds, and XL Confort Seating.
