Renfe Young Persons Fare

With the Más Renfe Joven Card, which costs €50, Renfe offers up to 30% off train fares for young people aged 14 to 25. This card is valid for a year and is non-transferable. Enjoy a 30% discount on AVE and AVE international trains, and get a 25% discount on Avant, Cercanías, and Rodalies trains.

Renfe Over-60s Fare

With the Tarjeta Dorada, Renfe offers up to 40% discounts for those aged over 60. The card costs €6 for one year, €12 for two years, and €15 for three years. If you are travelling on AVE and AVE international trains, you can get a 25% discount. For Avant trains, discounts vary between weekdays and weekends: 25% during weekdays and 40% on weekends. Renfe Spanish Large Families Fare

Large families traveling with Renfe in Spain can benefit from 20% discounts for general category families and 50% for special category families on most train services, including AVE and Larga Distancia. These offers exclude AVE International, Avant, and Cercanías services. For single-parent families, discounts apply only to Rodalies trains in Catalonia with the appropriate documentation from the Generalitat de Catalunya.

Renfe Children Fare

Renfe offers a 40% discount on ticket prices for children aged 4 to 13. These children are allowed to select seats on AVE, AVE International, and Avant trains, and they can make changes or request refunds based on the ticket type, which may involve a fee. Elige Confort is slightly more expensive than Elige Estándar. The main difference is that the seats are XL Confort, which are wider and offer more leg room.

Prémium is the most expensive fare, offering unlimited free changes and refunds, and XL Confort Seating.
