Renfe's discounts for disabled people offer up to 40% off, though you will need to spend €6 on a Tarjeta Dorada, which allows you to travel on AVE, Avant, and Cercanías trains for one year. Please note that the discount on Avant trains is greater on weekends. If you wish to refund or change your ticket, it will depend on the type of ticket chosen and may incur a fee.

Renfe Over-60s Fare

Renfe offers up to 40% discounts for those aged over 60 with the Tarjeta Dorada. The card costs €6 for one year, €12 for two years, and €15 for three years. If you are travelling on AVE and AVE international trains, you can get a 25% discount. For Avant trains, discounts vary between weekdays and weekends: during weekdays, you can get a 25% discount, while on weekends, you can receive a 40% discount. Note that all services provided with discounted tickets are the same as those with full-price tickets. The same applies to whether changes and refunds are allowed.

Renfe Group Fare

Renfe offers travel discounts of 8% for groups of four to nine people travelling on AVE or AVE International trains. Groups of 10 to 25 people travelling on AVE, AVE International, Avant, and Cercanías trains can also receive up to a 50% discount.
