Renfe Young Persons Fare

Renfe offers up to 30% off train fares for young people aged 14 to 25 with the Más Renfe Joven Card, which costs €50. The card is valid for a year and is non-transferable. With this scheme, you can enjoy a 30% discount on AVE and AVE International trains, or a 25% discount on Avant, Cercanías, and Rodalies trains.

Renfe Over-60s Fare

Renfe offers up to 40% discounts for those aged over 60 with the Tarjeta Dorada. The card costs €6 for one year, €12 for two years, and €15 for three years. If you are travelling on AVE and AVE international trains, you can get a 25% discount. For Avant trains, discounts vary between weekdays and weekends: during weekdays, you can get a 25% discount, while on weekends, you can receive a 40% discount. Note that all services provided with discounted tickets are the same as those with full-price tickets. The same applies to whether changes and refunds are allowed.

Renfe Children Fare

Renfe offers 40% off ticket fares for children under 14. Children are able to choose seats on AVE, AVE International, and Avant trains, and to make changes or refunds based on the ticket type chosen, although this may incur a fee. Children under four years old travel for free but are not permitted a reserved seat and must sit on the lap of an adult passenger. Please note that, on Cercanías trains, the age limit for free travel without a seat is under six years old.

Renfe Group Fare

Renfe offers travel discounts of 8% for groups of four to nine people travelling on AVE or AVE International trains. Groups of 10 to 25 people travelling on AVE, AVE International, Avant, and Cercanías trains can also receive up to a 50% discount. For groups of more than 25 people, you can submit a quote to see if it will be accepted. Please note that all Renfe group tickets are non-changeable. If you need to cancel, the entire booking must be cancelled according to the original ticket's terms and conditions, and a fee will apply.
