The meadow leads to a public footpath network with some wonderful walks around the village and beyond. There are some lovely longer walks along a brook and across open countryside to great pubs and restaurants.In separate meadows we keep Coloured Ryeland sheep, one of England’s oldest breeds, dating back more than seven centuries. They are very cute and very friendly. In the spring and summer months we keep Gloucester Old Spot pigs. They’re very funny to watch, a great source of entertainment. We also keep rare breed chickens and there are hives with honey bees in a quiet corner of the meadow. Our guests are free to wander round and enjoy the animals, we just ask that you close any gates behind you.If you’re in the gardens or meadow you will probably meet our flat coated retriever, Wilma.
