Built circa 1750, this traditional timber-framed cottages has been carefully renovated and fitted out to a high standard to offer comfortable accommodation whilst retaining many original features such as oak beams, wattle and daub walls and a bread oven.One of two adjoining cottages available to rent, No 9 is a cosy cottage that sleeps 3-4 people and is available for stays of 3 nights or more. Blackout blinds are fitted at the windows.At the back is a small semi-enclosed garden set out with a garden table and chairs where you can enjoy the fabulous view over open farmland.The cottages are located in a village just outside the Blyth valley, an area of outstanding natural beauty. We love the slower pace of life, the relaxed atmosphere, and the great local produce.The village has a family and dog-friendly pub that serves good food and a good local shop where basic supplies can be bought. This new luxuriously converted barn is part of Whitehouse Farm, and has all modern amenities. There is a separate utility room with a washing machine.On the ground floor the large bedroom boasts a king size bed, with French doors out onto the garden, and views over the adjacent farmland. The en suite bathroom oozes opulence, with large walk in shower as well as free standing bath.
