The Mandarin Oriental, Shenzhen, belongs firmly and unequivocally in the latter category. From the moment I stepped into its soaring lobby, I knew this would be one of those stays that redefines what luxury hospitality means. Arrival and Reception First impressions matter, and the reception team at the Mandarin Oriental understands this with an almost intuitive grace. Jason Zhu greeted me with the kind of warmth that felt less like a rehearsed welcome and more like being received by an old friend who just happens to have impeccable professional instincts. His attention to detail was extraordinary — he had noted my preferences before I could voice them, and the check-in process was so seamless it barely registered as a process at all. Sicily and Marsh were equally outstanding, always present at just the right moments with a smile, a helpful suggestion, or a thoughtful gesture. Together, the three of them set a tone of effortless elegance that carried through every hour of my stay. In a city as fast-paced and forward-looking as Shenzhen, there is something deeply reassuring about a reception team that makes you feel as though time has slowed down just for you. The Club Skyline View Room If the lobby whispered luxury, the Club Skyline View Room declared it in full voice. Perched high above the glittering sprawl of Shenzhen, the room offered a panorama that genuinely stopped me in my tracks. Floor-to-ceiling windows framed the city's dazzling skyline — a forest of illuminated towers stretching toward the horizon, the lights of Futian and beyond shimmering like an earthbound constellation. I found myself drawn to the window repeatedly, at golden hour, at twilight, and again in the deep hours of the night, each time discovering a different mood and a different kind of beauty. The room itself was a masterclass in refined design. The palette was calm and sophisticated, with rich textures and thoughtful layering that felt contemporary yet timeless in the way the Mandarin Oriental has always done best. The bed was, simply put, superb — the kind of bed that makes you reconsider every mattress you have ever slept on and find them all wanting. Linens were crisp and impossibly soft. The bathroom was a sanctuary of marble and glass, generously appointed with the brand's signature amenities, and the soaking tub positioned near the window offered what might be one of the finest bathing experiences in southern China. Every detail, from the lighting controls to the turndown service to the quiet hum of climate perfection, spoke of a property that understands the difference between filling a room with expensive things and creating a genuine sense of place and comfort. The Mandarin Club Accessing the Mandarin Club elevated an already exceptional stay into something truly rarefied. The lounge itself is a beautifully curated space — serene, sophisticated, and blessed with those same sweeping skyline views that make this property so special. But what transforms the Club from a lovely room with good canapés into a genuinely memorable experience is its people. Chelsea Zhou is a revelation and deserves a special mention. Her hospitality instincts are pitch-perfect; she anticipated needs I hadn't yet articulated, and managed to be attentive without ever being intrusive — a balance that even the finest hotels in the world struggle to achieve. Priscilla Pang was equally impressive, radiating a genuine kindness and professionalism that made every interaction a pleasure. Whether it was the afternoon tea service, or the evening menu and cocktails, Chelsea and Priscilla ensured that every moment in the Club felt personal, polished, and quietly luxurious. I returned to the lounge far more often than I had planned, not just for the excellent food and drink,

I stayed at Mandarin Oriental Guangzhou for one night and overall had a pleasant experience. The room was spacious, clean and beautifully designed, although the TV size and limited channel selection could be improved. I also received a complimentary room upgrade, which I appreciated, but the room was quite close to the tunnel, so some noise could still be heard at night. The staff were detailed, friendly and very helpful throughout my stay. During checkout, the front desk even checked on my staying experience and noted down my feedback in their system for future stays, which I found thoughtful. The location is excellent, directly connected to Taikoo Hui and the MRT station, which made getting around very convenient. One downside was the spa voucher included in my stay package. Due to my tight schedule, I wasn’t able to use it, so I requested to exchange it for breakfast instead, but the hotel was unable to accommodate the request. It would be great if the voucher usage could be more flexible in the future. Overall, a comfortable stay with great service and convenience, with just a few points that could be improved.

This stay truly exceeded my expectations and can best be described as a genuine “home away from home.” It is rare to find a hotel that performs so well across comfort, service, location, and thoughtful details, and this experience left a very lasting impression. First of all, the room itself was exceptionally comfortable. From the moment I walked in, everything—from the bedding and lighting to the layout and overall ambience—made it easy to relax. The room was clearly very well maintained, with no signs of wear or aging. The décor felt modern yet warm, and the attention to upkeep was evident in every detail, from the furniture to the bathroom facilities. Returning to the room each day felt comforting and familiar, which is something not every hotel can achieve. At check-in, there was a short wait for the room due to availability, but the experience was handled extremely well. A Guest Relation Specialist proactively approached me, kindly checked in on my situation, and thoughtfully added me on WeChat so that assistance would always be easily accessible. From that point onward, communication became seamless. Whether I had questions, requests, or needed help at any time during my stay, support was always just a message away, with quick and attentive responses that made me feel truly cared for. I would especially like to thank Loyalty Manager Mr. Cao for arranging a room upgrade. The upgraded room offered more space and a better overall experience, which elevated my stay significantly. This gesture made me feel genuinely valued as a returning guest, rather than just another reservation. Although there was construction nearby during my stay, the hotel’s sound insulation was excellent. Noise never became an issue, and my rest was completely undisturbed. Both nights were quiet and restful, and I slept extremely well—something I truly appreciated. In the afternoon, the Guest Relations team kindly assisted in arranging the JW Christmas–themed afternoon tea. The presentation, quality, and festive atmosphere were outstanding. It was clear that great care had gone into the experience, and it added a wonderful sense of occasion to my stay. This was definitely a highlight and deserves high praise. The hotel’s location is another major advantage. Traveling to the airport in the morning was incredibly convenient, saving both time and stress. At the same time, the hotel is not far from Xiangmi Lake Park, making it equally suitable for leisure walks and relaxation. Whether for business or leisure, the location truly feels ideal. In the evening, based on a recommendation from the Guest Relations team, I visited the bar on the fourth floor—and I’m very glad I did. The atmosphere was beautiful, especially under the moonlight, creating a calm and romantic setting that made the night feel special. I highly recommend the Moscow Mule there—it was perfectly balanced, refreshing, and honestly one of the best I’ve had. Another thoughtful touch was the arrangement of a late check-out by the Guest Relations team. This allowed me to rest a bit longer and enjoy the morning without feeling rushed, which made a big difference before departure. Breakfast was also very impressive. The selection was extensive and well organized. Even though the restaurant was busy, everything ran smoothly and efficiently, with clear flow and attentive staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience. In addition, food deliveries were conveniently handled by service robots, which was both efficient and fun, adding a modern and thoughtful touch to the stay. Overall, this hotel excels not only in facilities, but also in service quality and attention to detail. From check-in to check-out, every interaction reflected professionalism, warmth, and genuine hospitality. Whether for business travel or a relaxing getaway, this is a hotel I would confidently recommend. It is absolutely a place I look forward to returning to in the future.

Overall very good hotel but there is really nothing close to the hotel that is reachable by foot. The breakfast is only ok. In our room, some lights did not work, the TV movie rental was not available. Nonetheless, very friendly staff and beautiful view from the room.

We were so impressed of almost everything about this stay. I will recommend to my friends, and the my relatives to come and pay a visit. This package of a new renovated room plus Club Lounge access both are amazing.  Food is great. Service is amazing. The view is epic.  The room is built and designed well.  Gym room is big.  Especially our highlight is the customer service, my wife and I wanna point out the staff that serving us (入住服務大使) Mandy is very kind and helpful to us. Delight our stay. Also other staffs that served/helped us are very polite and kind. (Front desk: Perry etc.)  We couldn’t ask for more. Coz this is more than our expectation. I will recommend you to choose this.

We had a great stay here. Reception was friendly and the man was helpful taking our bags up to the room for us. We could see the water from our room. Room was spacious and beds were comfortable. We used the spa and sauna which was great. The gym was large with lots of equipment. Service was fast when we needed extra water or towels. Close to Jingshan mountain, short didi ride. Took the cable car up and slide down, it was fun! Would recommend this hotel.

Choosing Chimelong Hengqin Bay Hotel was the best decision. Every service staff we encountered greeted us with smiles ans patience. The room was spacious and bright, with soft and comfortable bedding. The dolphin-themed décor delighted our child, making it an ideal choice for families travelling with kids. The room felt warm and cosy, with well-maintained facilities. The air conditioning and Wi-Fi worked very well, and there were thoughtful touches such as children’s toiletries and slippers, showing great attention to detail. The hotel is located within the Chimelong Resort, very close to both the airport and the high-speed rail station. Luggage storage was extremely convenient — easy to drop off and collect at any time, which made travelling stress-free. We had the buffet dinner and OMG I could be eat there 3 days in a row and wouldnt get through all the options. Huge variety of both Chinese and Western cuisine. The butler service was proactive and attentive, sending daily updates on park activities and responding quickly to any questions or needs, resolving issues efficiently. Overall, an amazing experience! both the facilities and service were top-notch. We’re already planning our next trip back!

My family and I had a wonderful experience during our stay. The service was excellent, and the breakfast buffet featured an impressive variety of offerings that catered to all tastes. The private swimming pool in the Sea View Pool Deluxe Room was a highlight, providing a perfect spot to relax with stunning views. Additionally, the property’s proximity to Banyan Tree Resort was a great advantage, offering plenty of dining options beyond those available at Angsana. Overall, my stay was enjoyable, and I highly recommend this destination!

It's alright. Here on a short overnight overlay, with my next flight early at 8AM from Baiyun Airport, so I couldn't make use of the airport shuttle service. Breakfast wasn't served by the time I departed (5.45am) too, so I can't speak for that. Took a short walk to the gym and pool facilities, they look fine but I didn't make use of them. Otherwise, it's a really comfy hotel. Room 2007 is right next to the elevator, so I didn't experience the long walk that other guests mentioned. There's pretty much everything you could need provided in the room, including bathrobes. Didn't make use of the kitchen, but I understand it could come in handy for certain travellers. But yeah, not bad. Not bad at all. Location wise, it's 15 minutes to the airport, but it's a solid 50 minutes to the city centre by car. You could alternatively walk to the nearby Renhe Subway Station and make use of the public transport (very convenient!), but it could get crowded at times.

Vi älskade att stanna på detta hotell!Platsen är fantastisk, en promenad ner till coco park shoppingcenter.Personalen var super vänlig och hjälpsam, vi pratade alltid med Ray Guo och Wendy Wu som var fantastiska!Rummen är faktiskt också mycket rymliga. Vi älskade spelcentret de hade eftersom det inte var för stort för att du skulle springa runt för dina barn, men tillräckligt stort för att klappa för att ha kul.Alltför bra hotell!
