big rooms, its a new hotel and all the accessories were quite new and good. Location is around 1.5 kms from west street, not bad. In Breakfast most of the items were Chinese however Ms Li helped us a lot and went beyond her duties to provide us extra fruits and good coffee. She is really quite supportive and ensure guests have good experience of hotel. Our stay in this hotel was pretty good . Thanks

Although property is bit old and not well maintained,room size was exceptionally huge with huge bathroom and jacuzzi,which wasn't working thiugh. Location was excellent near river, we could see river right at doorstep of balcony and veranda. It's close to city center and near Elephant mountain, getting around was easy. Breakfast was decent(3.5/5) and It's antique place(4/5) , not bad with price offered and location (5/5) ,if you can compromise on cleanliness (3/5) and maintenance (3/5)

Outstanding boutique hotel situated in the most beautiful spot by the Yulong River with breathtaking views in all four directions! We like how the style of the hotel reflects and complements the natural beauty of the area. There are abundant amenities and plenty of activities to pursue just around the property. It’s perfect for people who want to enjoy the beautiful pristine Shanshui of Guilin uninterrupted. We travelled with our extended family of 7 and everybody had a great time (especially our 2yo). The hotel is very kids friendly and the staff are wonderful. The swimming pool is immaculate and well equipped. We were also happily surprised by the quality of the food provided at the hotel. The ingredients were local and super fresh and the beer fish was very tasty. We ended up eating most of our lunches and dinners at the hotel. The room itself is gorgeous. We woke up everyday bathing in the morning sun with unobstructed views of the breathtaking Shanshui along the Yulong river! If you wake up early and go to the top floor, you will be rewarded with a special bonus! We are already looking forward to our next trip to Yangshuo and Xishi Jinshe!

We had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The views were absolutely breathtaking, especially with the surrounding rivers and hills very peaceful and scenic. The location was excellent and close to many places worth seeing, and it was easy and walkable to get around without any hassle. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and we really enjoyed the cultural activities offered. Getting to wear traditional costumes, take photos, and do arts and crafts was a fun and memorable experience. Overall, the stay was comfortable and relaxing. Breakfast was nice as well. the rice noodles in the morning were delicious and very tasty. We would definitely recommend this hotel for couples looking for a scenic and enjoyable stay

Location was excellent. Easy 10-15min walk to the West Street area and short 10min drive to Ten Mile Gallery. It's a few blocks from the main road so much quieter. The room and facilities were very clean. The view from the sky deck was beautiful. Electric scooters can be rented downstairs. Breakfast was ok.

We chose the Superhouse by the Li River because we had previously stayed at a resort by the Yulong River and were looking for a bit of variety – and it definitely did not disappoint. The property is truly impressive: a converted former factory with a spacious layout and many interesting buildings. It’s a highlight in itself, especially if you are interested in architecture and design. The view of the Li River is fantastic, and the pool is great as well – although it is not heated, so you need to be a bit brave in spring. The rooms are exceptional, with high-quality materials and a strong focus on design and detail – truly impressive. One small downside was the bar: even when it wasn’t very busy, the music was quite loud, even in the late afternoon. The drink selection was somewhat limited, and it seemed that the bartender was not extensively trained – but these are minor points. Dinner, on the other hand, was excellent – very high quality and absolutely enjoyable. The next morning, breakfast was also outstanding, with a great selection and excellent quality – nothing was missing. Overall, it was a great experience and definitely worth recommending. The location is a bit remote, which adds to the peaceful atmosphere, but it also means you’ll usually need a Didi to reach other restaurants. However, that’s easy and inexpensive in China. A must-stop.

This is obviously a very nice hotel and I would recommend and would stay here again. Luxury is very obvious all over this hotel, and it is frankly very cheap for what it is. The moment we came in, bellhops insisted to carry our bags up to the 80th floor lobby. They were always opening doors for us and very helpful with our bags, 24/7. Once we arrived, we were welcomed in and sat down at an individual desk for check in. There, we were served some excellent tea. The hotel purser came over and welcomed us in. My girlfriend is Chinese and spoke to the staff in Chinese, but the purser switched up to English to welcome me to the hotel, which is a nice detail. Most Chinese hotel staff consistently avoid putting in the effort to speak English to me. The hard product is amazing and is matched well with great service. Staff were always attentive and welcoming in both Chinese and English, always saying hello and checking in. The cons: This hotel, just like most Marriott hotels, is trying to nickel and dime you, which doesn’t make a lot of sense at this price point. In some ways it isn’t, such as an included mini-bar (all non-alcoholic), but for example it doesn’t have a laundry service, while basically any 3-5 star hotel in China would have included laundry. Also, there is a car transfer service, but it’s so absurdly priced for no particular reason. 400 rmb+ for basic transfers where as a Didi would be 10 rmb. Similar luxury properties such as the Ritz-Carlton has these amenities included. The restaurants were nice. We only tried Na Lian, which despite being an in-house guest and being told that they could get reservations for us, we basically were treated like walk-in’s despite being told we had reservations (and we were unable to get a window seat). The bar was also nice and we enjoyed it, the staff were very attentive and helpful. The bar manager waited for us to arrive, but the bar consistently had spend limits for any table or reservation, which additionally just seemed silly, considering we were already staying in a booked deluxe room. The drinks and lamb were very good. The menu was a little outdated, and illustrated wine by the glass, but we were then told that the menu is wrong and they don’t do that. Also, there was strangely a lack of extra towels and bins in the room. I found myself walking into the bathroom many times to throw away trash. This is a good hotel and I plan to be back again, but it can definitely improve. Too much nickel and diming. Good service and good products inspire people to come back, which is worth much more than selling one bottle of shampoo and pushing a customer to never return again. Comfy robes and slippers. 9.5/10

Overall, the front desk staff service was excellent. Most of those we spoke to were helpful and professional. However, there was this one person whom I would like to highlight in the hopes that he can be better trained. One of the front staff, a young man with curly hair, kept singing when he pushed our luggages and he also sang a bit while at the counter. This is actually very unprofessional because the front desk staff represents the hotel to a certain extent. He was also quite unhelpful when we asked him questions as he would give a one liner statement and go back to doing whatever he was doing. The other staff at the counter had to step in to answer to our questions. In terms of cleanliness and view, it was quite good. The view in particular from our windows was amazing and had a very peaceful vibe; you can see the surrounding mountains and the ambience of the room added on to the quality.

If you are concerned about the security of your belongings, think carefully before staying at this hotel. I want to state first that the receptionists and front desk staff are excellent and professional. Unfortunately, there is a serious issue with room security and unauthorized entry. I am a returning guest. First stay: 10–14 December, Room 3031 Second stay: 22–24 December, Room 3003 During my first stay, I informed the cleaning supervisor that I did not want housekeeping until 14 December. When my room ran out of bottled water, I spoke to a cleaning staff member who said she would place the water in my room later after I went out. During our conversation, my room door accidentally shut, and she used a master key card to open it. Looking back, she could have simply handed the water to me as her cart was in the hallway. On 12 or 13 December, the same cleaning staff mentioned that they “cannot earn if they do not clean my room.” Feeling pressured, I agreed to allow floor cleaning only. I stood outside the room while two cleaners mopped the toilet, changed towels, and vacuumed the carpet. On 14 December early checkout, I reached for a pair of black slack pants that had been hanging in the closet since 10 December but it was not there. At that time, I assumed the pants may have been accidentally packed into the two bags for the hotel’s luggage storage. I then traveled to other parts of China with light luggage and did no shopping. I returned to the hotel on the night of 22 December and collected my stored bags. The black slack pants were not in them. During second stay at the hotel I did no shopping. After 24th Dec flying home, I discovered something even more alarming. A bundle of newly purchased jeans for my sister and mother during my first stay—packed together in a plastic bag—was missing. At the airport on 24th Dec, my bags were shrink-wrapped and sealed, and is no wander the total weight was at least 1.3 kg lighter than expected. This suggests that someone entered my room when the room was vacant and removed items from my packed luggage. Hotel staff would have known my checkout date, and I had not opened my bags after packing. This experience has caused me great distress. While the front desk service is commendable, the lack of room security and the disappearance of personal belongings is unacceptable. I will not be returning, and I strongly urge management to investigate this matter seriously.

Great resort. Beautiful property, great location. Very well maintained. Amazing views from the restaurant and room. Very friendly staff. Great breakfast buffet. Highly recommended. Exceeded our expectations.
