A lovely stay in Briig hotel. A perfect location by a local beach with easy access to the port and town in under ten minutes by foot.
Very spacious rooms with a super comfy XL bed and updated designer toiletries in the bathroom along with the amazing shower.
A small but functional rooftop pool and sun deck and lovely garden to have breakfast and drinks.
As a designer hotel it might be even better if it were adult only…but I appreciate that is highly subjective.

The hotel is conveniently located on the 3rd floor of an old central building right in the middle of Split. About 30 minutes from airport but do note taxi can only drop you of nearby. Cost with Uber about €30 there is also bus.
The rooms are clean, large and the service waste great. Lovely bed. The room has kettle and fridge which is helpful. Short walk from the harbour and sights which was nice in evening before sleep. Bed comfortable. Overall high standard feeling.
Breakfast and meals can be had in surrounding area, do not lot of places wanted cash only which I found annoying and the costs of food and drink were much higher than expected. That is nothing to do with the hotel but worth mentioning as increased have been steep after introducing the Euro two years ago.

Honestly, the breakfast is terrible. There is no any option just the eggs and cheese and I don’t eat that because I’m diabetic type one I requested at least smoked salmon and some Roca salads or some other options healthy options on the day. It was really not delicious at all other than that everything else is good. The gym is really smalland the room surface is not really easy to reach. I ordered yesterday at dinner salad. The price is €18 then they charge me €10 to bring it to my room which is crazy.

Very nice hotel. Not within walking distance from old town, but very nearby if you take a bolt. A very nice breakfast place next to hotel. With roof top bar on the summer, high floor swimming pool and jazucci. Spacious room. Highly recommended.

Best bits: small boutique hotel - only 47 rooms set in well manicured gardens; friendly staff throughout the hotel; fantastic pool/jacuzzi/spa and comfortable loungers; excellent breakfast and snack menu for lunch and good evening a la carte menu; small supermarket/bakery /pharmacy opposite; located 20 minutes outside Split but easy access by local bus (stop outside hotel €2.50/person) or Uber €8 (cheaper than taxi); beside one of the main archaeological sites.
Bad bits: none really but more clothes hangers in wardrobes would help!!

WeI had a wonderful stay at Bluesun Hotel Elaphusa in Bol on the Island of Brač. The location is perfect, just a short walk from the stunning Zlatni Rat Beach. The recently renovated rooms were comfortable and modern, making my stay even more enjoyable.
Tea at the reception was incredibly welcoming and set the tone for a great experience. Whether you’re into relaxing seawater treatments at the Thalasso Wellness or prefer staying active, this hotel has it all. I highly recommend it for a meaningful and relaxing vacation!

SSeat 2AThis is an intimate 5-room establishment situated amidst the alleys of the Old Town, hence cars cannot drop passengers at the doorstep. Easy enough to catch a shuttle bus for EUR 8 from the airport to the bus station at the port, from which a Makarun staff will meet you and assist you with your luggage to the hotel, a 10-minute walk away.
Breakfast is a la carte, as is to be expected for such a small establishment, comprising 3 courses - pastry/toast, eggs of your choice with cold cuts, and a dessert, complemented by tea coffee and/or juice. Food was more than adequate in terms of quantity and quality.
My room was comfortable enough, though 2 issues were noticeable:
* Instead of a flat cotton bed sheet, there was a fitted sheet made of what seemed like jersey, and looked more like a mattress protector.This was pilled and coarse, in contrast to the far smoother cotton quilt cover. When I brought this to the attention of the staff they explained that this is standard for the hotel. Whilst it did not affect the quality of my sleep, the coarseness of the sheet wasn't entirely pleasant
* In the bathroom, the shower was mounted at waist height, hence one either had to hold the shower in one hand, or, if there was a need to use both hands to wash, then one would have to crouch under the shower while it was in its holder. Not particularly convenient.
Overall a comfortable stay in a convenient location, enhanced by the friendly and solicitous Ivan and Mario.

- Personalen var väldigt frånvarande och man behöver en nyckel för att komma in på hotellet och in på rummet. Vi glömde vår nyckel i vårt rum och insåg efter middagen runt 23.00 och trots att personalen borde vara på hotellet till 03.00: ingen var där. Vi var tvungna att kontakta oss via telefon men eftersom vi är kanadensare hade vi ingen fungerande telefon. Vi höll nästan på att sova utomhus. Vi fick hjälp av grannrestaurangen.
- Personalen skulle börja om igen klockan 07.00; vi gick därifrån klockan 08.00 utan att checka ut eftersom det återigen inte fanns någon.
- Min dotters EarPods blev stulna i vårt rum. Vi kunde hitta dem med Apple-appen och se exakt var de var. Återigen fanns ingen personal alls på hotellet som kunde berätta för dem att städpersonalen hade stal dem. (Vi är 100 % SÄKRA på att de var stulna eftersom de inte lämnade rummet, vi tog aldrig med oss elektronik någonstans och platsen de var på låg 7 km från hotellet där vi aldrig hade varit.)
- De erbjuder ångstrykningstjänst, jag ville använda den men de sa att det tog en vecka att få tillbaka mina kläder... vi var där i fyra dagar. Personalen erbjöd sig att ta med en ångstrykningsmaskin till mitt rum så att jag kunde göra det själv. De tog aldrig med den...
- Det fanns en vacker terrass på fjärde våningen men vi fick reda på det bara vår sista kväll.
- Vi ville gå till en strand och personalen sa att det var en 45 minuters promenad och att det var enda sättet att gå. Vi gick. Till slut när vi kom dit... kunde vi ta en kundvagn för 3 euro.... Vi tog den för att komma tillbaka.

This is not like a hotel, more like a villa, the security of it is not very high, as it has 2 entrances.
The entrance from the pool, anyone can access it without a problem.
The swimming pool was quite dirty, it has a lot of bugs floating, and also it has not been regularly cleaned by the staff.
It has a lot of restaurants nearby, and the quality and the price are better than those tourist meals in the old town.
The lift was broken on the first day, second day they informed us it is fixed. But it still has a little bit sudden sinking issue.
I guess Croatia does not have regulation of fix term lift checking, as it does not have any certificate in the lift inside/outside.
If the hotel showed 3 stars and the price is lower. I would rate
The right side of the balcony has a big tennis field on the 2nd-floor level, it is very close, and it was quite annoying that people can look over easily.
The suite does not worth 4 stars. The rug is super old, it has some stains on it.
The Front door lock is looking new, it is safe, but some electricity installation was not installed properly, it looks like you can pull them out easily.
The Electric Safety box is not working with the password, the hotel left a key in there for use.
Breakfast arrangement is well managed for guests with early tour, they could arrange breakfast box including 1 fruit, 3 breads, and 1 yogurt at 06am to 07am.

GGästanvändarePro - very close to the Golden Gate and is easy to find. Check in is straightforward. The room is on the first floor above ground so it wasn't the most difficult thing to lift our luggages up.
Con - (1) the actual room looks nothing like the pictures online. The online pictures (taken with wide lens mode) show the room to be much larger and brighter, whereas the room is in fact very small and relatively poorly lit. For one, the bed is literally two footsteps away from the door, and we were struggling to find space to open our luggages.
(2) One of the beds in the room is in fact a sofa bed, but the property did not declare this when we booked. We spent a lot of time trying to book places which do not use sofa beds but actual beds, and so we can't help but feel that we were misled and misrepresented to.
(3) There is a bit of noise. The property is right next to the road and near a pub with some rowdy youths at times.
(4) Facilities are minimal. There is only one chair, and the table is very small. Everything else is basic. Nothing luxurious about it despite its name and the photos.
(5) There is no lift at the property.
We would not have chosen this property if we had a second chance.

YYu Xuan ChinIt was a reasonably good stay on Hvar but do be mindful of the numerous numbers of stairs to get to the hotel and anywhere else within it. The room was not the most spacious but still comfortable, only thing is we had to grapple with mosquitoes every night. Breakfast spread was excellent.

GGästanvändareFantastic hotel, 5 minute walk from the ferry terminal and bus station. The resort is small but makes for a quiet holiday which is exactly what we were looking for. We were upgraded to the harbour suite which is a stunning room, although no balcony, didn’t bother us, just to make others aware. Shower gel and shampoo are Ritual branded and smell lovely. The food is fabulous, breakfast is buffet style and dinner (for half boarders) is chosen off the menu. Really high quality and believe they were Michelin recommended for 2024. They even gave us a breakfast bag as we were checking out very early.
The staff are fantastic, very friendly and can’t do enough for you. This was the case from reception, restaurant to the roof top bar. All were great.
The rooftop bar was a brilliant place to sit and watch the sunset and the ferry coming and going.
The pool is covered and heated with a separate area for sunbathing. There’s also a couple of saunas you can use. The smallest gripe, it would be good to trim the top of the trees which blocked the view from the sun terrace.
Would absolutely stay here again for a chilled and relaxing holiday.

GGästanvändareThe room was stunning and very clean. We were fortunate to have the room with a south facing balcony, which was a heat trap. It is situated in a very central area with lots of shops, bars, and restaurants near by.
The things which let the room down was the bang average speed WiFi, that once several folk throughout the hotel were on went pretty slow, which is sometimes the case. The TV brand is Grundig, which I never heard of and is not got any smart settings. There is an option to project your phone/ipad to it. The only issue is if the Internet is slow then it sometimes won't recognise... Get new TVs!
Communication could be improved, the gentlemen who checked us in said to contact him with any queries, I did so and had no reply. They could do with a system to drop off used towels and collect new clean towels from the reception area of the hotel.
Hopefully this constructive feedback will be acted on as it is minors things as mentioned above that are lowering the overall experience for fellow guests.

GGästanvändareThis was a rushed booking due to our original hotel not having our booking. Normally I spend considerable time going through reviews etc, but with the Azur Palace (hotel?) it was a case of needs must.
Unfortunately although we had booked a deluxe double in our opinion it didn’t match similar 4 star hotel deluxe rooms. I mentioned this to reception but they weren’t really interested.
Appreciate we were virtually in the centre of split, with space at a premium, but the view of a small alley with graffiti an empty minibar, not even plugged in, an irritating dim light, I think from the a/c that ensured the room wasn’t completely dark. After trying to close it down without success I went to reception, which had a note with a phone number to call. I gave up went back to the room and tried throwing a towel over it.
Also no bar, although there are a few within couple of minutes.
Overall disappointing.

GGästanvändareI extended my stay with 2 more nights because the location of the hotel is perfect for my group. The common spaces are spacious and so are the rooms.
But we got a room right next to the lift and the room had a door with the room next door. Because of that, the noise from the neighbors during the last night was pretty disturbing!
And again, the breakfast is somehow disappointing for an hotel from that level. We stayed in a smaller 4 star hotel at the beginning of our stay in Split and the breakfast was much nicer and so was the cappuccino.
