I had a great experience at Scenic Hotel. During check-in, the male staff member was extremely friendly and helpful. He gave me lots of useful information about the area, including the best places to eat, where to park, and tips for seeing the penguins. His local knowledge really helped make our trip easier and more enjoyable. The next morning, after coming back late from travelling, I asked the reception if I could check out 15–20 minutes later. The staff member on morning reception was very cool, understanding, and friendly. She happily allowed the late checkout with no issues at all. Overall, both staff members provided excellent service, and I really appreciated their kindness and helpful attitude. Highly recommend this hotel for both comfort and outstanding customer service!

Wonderful Experience! Poshtel is an antique-style hotel with beautifully designed interiors. Each room has its own unique theme, classic and full of character, making the stay truly memorable. The overall cleanliness is good and the atmosphere feels cozy and charming. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. When we were stuck due to a strong wind red warning, with public transportation canceled and unable to reach another city to catch our flight, the hotel team went above and beyond. They helped us book an alternative driver and kindly extended our checkout time, giving us more flexibility to plan for contingencies. We truly appreciate their assistance and thoughtful service. Highly recommend Poshtel for its distinctive character and outstanding hospitality!

The location was very convenient and easy to get around. The view of the lake from the common area is absolutely stunning! Can park on the other side of the road for free which is quite easy.

Very happy with our Accomodation at Aria on Bank Dunedin. The self contained unit for a couple was modern, very clean, fresh & well presented. Free (No fee) use of laundry ( washing machine & dryer) for all tenants to use. Our room was missing a frying pan which i needed to cook. I contacted the front desk, the gentleman receptionist immediately ran & I mean ran to our unit to confirm it was missing & sure enough none to be located. He left & returned a couple mins later with a replacement frying pan & utensil. Outstanding service. AAA+++ RATING for service & excellence.

They have this policy of no loud music after 10pm but sadly our first night the people who stay on the buttom room bought their own speaker and turn on loud, beating music even after midnight. We called the reception at 11pm which they responded but the people just turn down the music and turn it on again after they left. Overall, Good location as Dunstan lake is nearby, Worth the money and the have a good view.

My recent stay at Oakridge Resort Lake Wanaka was overall a very positive experience, thanks to its fantastic amenities. After long days spent exploring the stunning surrounding landscapes, the hot pools were an absolute highlight. Soaking in the warm water under the stars was incredibly relaxing and a perfect way to unwind tired muscles. This was definitely a standout feature of the resort and something I greatly appreciated. If I were to be particularly picky, the only minor annoyance during my stay was a faint but persistent hissing sound coming from the telephone line in my room. While it wasn't overly loud, it did become a little distracting when trying to get to sleep. Despite this small issue, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Oakridge Resort.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel St Clair! The room was clean and luxurious. Definitely one of the most value for money stays during our trip in NZ!

If you use Google Maps, remember to select the pedestrian path for directions. Otherwise, it may guide you to an abandoned house. The view from the dining room was nice, but we found some short blond hairs on the bed. We weren't too concerned about it, but others might be. The breakfast is quite Western—bread and jam, with milk or yogurt. It's a nice place, suitable for a short nap before takeoff. Nearby Saddle Hill is a great spot for viewing the Southern Lights if the timing is right. You could also ask John for local tips—he might know the best viewing spots. We've been touring around the lower South Island for a little over 2 weeks, staying at motels for generally about 2 nights at a time. The Sierra Motel ranks as one of the nicest we have seen in the whole trip. The exterior looks dated but the interior is fabulous - large, clean, comfortable, and modern. There is a large TV (with basic Sky - would like to access Netflix), king bed, two lounge chairs and a good work/dining space as well as a large shower with two shower heads, and a large outdoor area with an exterior table and 2 chairs. We enjoyed a G&T outside our unit in the fading afternoon sun - very pleasant. Booking through Trip.com also gave us a very competitive price and 25% better that anything the motel would offer, so we were very happy indeed.

Friendly staff, comfortable bed, good water supply and heating. A very good location that is near to eating places. A complete kitchenette. Will visit again, highly recommended motel to stay in Dunedin.
