Absolutely perfect. Gorgeous two floor apartment, excellent facilities, outstanding location. Very friendly and accommodating service. Will no doubt book again.

We stayed in unit 23 for a couple of nights while we attended a family wedding. The room was fully kitted out with everything we needed for a weekend away. The unit had beautiful views and was in such a handy location being so closely located to the shops. Beds and pillows were very comfortable and the room was both clean and tidy. Some of the reviews below seem rather harsh… Yes, some of the furniture was a little dated but this is clearly visible in the photos when booking. The shower grout could do with a little attention and the sound proofing for the room upstairs isn’t the best but all in all we couldn’t really fault our stay here as it met all of our expectations and was as advertised in the booking process. The accomodation was good value for money given the cost of similar airbnbs in the area that were located further from the shop/water. Thanks for a lovely little stay in Akaroa! We will be back.

Pros - fabulous location, large rooms Cons - very disappointing for the price ($270 per night!), no grate in bathroom sink (drop anything down there and it is gone for good), shower door must have broken at some point so there is a shower curtain. (which is useless as the water just poured onto bathroom floor), iron board in unit but no iron, very basic kitchen utensils - more like a camp kitchen as full of random mis-matched bits and pieces Overall - I booked this based on my friends recommendation, but I REALLY wish I had read the reviews first. Agree the place is dated and needs some love. At $270 a night, I would have expected a much classier place. We spent over $800 for a 3star motel Reading the reviews, it seems like this has been an issue for a long time so very disappointing to see the owners seem to have zero effort to correct things!!!

Our agent booked us into the apartment for 4 days but we checked out after 2 nights. The apartment had no air conditioning, the furnishings were old and tired, the carpet hadn't been changed for many a decade. I had to buy bleach to try and clean the mould from the shower tray. The TV controls were broke. The seating on the balcony was rickety and the chair covers were stained. The water from the kitchen tasted bad so didn't drink from it. I would not recommend this apartment no 32.

Apartment 29 is substandard. Advertised on *********** as luxury apartment. NOT LUXURY AT ALL. Broken washing machine, broken drier and broken dishwasher. Furniture with lumps of leather missing. Stained carpet and dirty. Attitude of manager - you can leave!

Lovely position in upstairs unit. Unit clean but not spotless. Starting to show some signs of being a little tired. Cannot be serious bout asking for 200 characters. Unit was warm and cosy even though it was mid winter. And they still want more?

A fantastic apartment located waterfront opposite the beautiful harbour. Everything is on your doorstep, shops and restaurants within walking distance. So much to do and see here. A lovely place to stay and we would definitely stay here again.

Had the best stay here with my sister! Beautifully appointed, clean, quiet and close to town!! I couldn’t fault them. Lovely view from the front balcony!! Great beds and well set up kitchen!! Carolyn is a great host too!! Highly recommend them!!!!!!

I found this place very disappointing and not at all what was advertised The rooms were cold, the heaters didn’t work properly and there was a musty / mouldy smell. The lady at the check in / out desk was possibly the rudest I’ve ever come across The only thing it had going for it was that it was within walking distance to all the shops / restaurants.
