Magic Reef Bungalows

We stayed for a week in May at Magic Reef Bungalows. Although the weather didn't cooperate (it rained most days) we still had a magnificent time. The grounds were beautiful and immaculately kept and the bungalow was the perfect size for a couple. Really enjoyed the outdoor shower. We had the partial ocean view closest to the pool. The tropical fruit plate, homemade muesli, and freshly local ground coffee for our french press was perfect for a light breakfast. Also, it was very convenient to rent an electric vehicle on-site. It was lovely to walk along the beach (remember to wear your reef shoes as the beach is quite rocky with coral). When the weather was nice you could easily walk on the beach to a handful of restaurants/bars 3-10 minute walk away. Lawrence, Simone and Jayne were very knowledgeable and helpful. FYI, you can get around the island using the bus, car rental or bike/scooter rental. There were many snorkeling beaches 5-25 minute drive. If you want a resort that is slower paced without the loud bars on site, Magic Reef Bungalows is the place for you.

My wife and I stayed here for a week. We loved it, great bungalows, comfy bed, fantastic view. Right on the beach. Lawrence and Simonne were fantastic, nothing was a problem. Great pool, very relaxing week. Weather wasn’t the best, but still lovely. They have electric cars and bikes for hire. The beach isnt really any good for swimming, but nothing is far. Restaurants up and down the road from there. They allowed us to stay on check out day as our flight was delayed, I’m sure it may differ if the bungalows were to be occupied the same day, but it was still very helpful for us. Definitely would stay again.

From start to finish we had a fabulous experience; very comfortable and spotless ocean view bungalow with the added bonus of kitchenette and free very fast wifi a bonus when i needed to work. Stunning sunsets and many whale sightings too! The pool was warm and refreshing; the gardens are lush and well loved by the delightful resident gardener. The e-vehicles that Lawrence and Simonne have available are a convenient way to explore the island. They also have lots of tips for restaurants and activities. Three of the restaurants we tried are within walking distance. The perfect location for a relaxing week.

Magic Reef cast a spell on us. The tropical view through the coconut palms to the lagoon and the vast Pacific Ocean was magnificent, the accommodation comfortable and interesting, Lawrence, Simone and staff were friendly and helpful without being obtrusive.

Great place! Simonne, Lawrence and Jayne, all the staff in fact were lovely and its the best place on the island as far as we could see. Our bungalow was right on the beach with uninterrupted views. The pool and grounds were all well maintained and clean, beds comfortable and the electric cars worked well. The only slight criticism is that its a little expensive, but considering where it is, well worth it actually!

8 bamboo huts on the beach. You can read the amenities so I will say that if you want a place to decompress, this is a really great place to do it. Close to black rock for snorkelers and people who love great vistas. Sunsets are in your face and the morning light highlights the waves crashing on the reef. Magic? You bet!
