Stayed for 2 nights with my wife: 1. Check-in / check-out - The check-in and check-out is fast. - No registration or anything that you need fill up when checking-in. They will just handover the key and assist you in the room. 2. Facilities and pool - The pool is nice and Instagrammable however they need to regularly clean and maintain it. - The tiles of the pool were dirty and stained already. - There were floating leaves and sort of white feathers. Hope they clean it daily. 3. Room - We booked the Junior Suite - Spacious with nice interiors and bathroom - No fridge - Wifi is good - Had a good sleep. Bed and pillows were comfortable but there stain marks on the sheets. - Bottled water was regularly replenished. - Shampoo, bath gel, lotion, conditioner were all available. - Towels were clean and smelled good. - Aircon is a bit small for the size of the room. It cannot cool the room enough during the peak of the heat in the afternoon. - Water supply was an issue. There were 3 incidents wherein we needed to take a shower and brush our teeth but there was no water supply available. Around 10pm-6:30am there are issues with the supply. This was very frustrating since we had to go to our Nusa Penida tour without taking a shower. 4. Location and feel of the resort - The interiors and design are nice - Peaceful and relaxing vibe - Not along the main road. When going there for the first time, be sure to check Waze or Google Maps. - The main gate is narrow. Big SUVs might not fit. 5. Staff - Friendly but not so accommodating - Some staff are not well trained to communicate in English - The number indicated in the calling card they gave is not reachable. Upon arrival, I suggest to get the contact number of German so it is easy to communicate and resolve issues. The staff will just say no and they dont have any flexibility to accommodate the guests so I suggest go directly to German. - There were no security in the area, even at night. No staff are present late at night. We experienced an earthquake around 4am but there were no staff or security to check on the guests. 6. Food - Breakfast was good. - I recommend the latin pancake. It was really good. - The other options we tried such as the french toast, bagel, and nagara plate were good but nothing special. - Breakfast includes fruits and coffee/juice. - We didnt try their lunch and dinner menu. - We had an issue with the serving of the complimentary breakfast. They told us serving is only from 8am to 10:15am. Since we had a tour and had to leave at 6:30am, the restaurant staff told us they cannot serve earlier or even have it packed. We also asked that we just have it served on our second morning, they still said no. We asked for this to 3 different personnel and they all said no. Lastly, we messaged German and finally our request was accommodated. Our stay at Nagara was okay. Disappointed with the water supply and the issue with the breakfast though it was resolved.
