I stayed 5 nights in the hostel. I was very disappointed by the attitude of the staff during communication before arrival, and at check out. Before arrival I had an issue with the changing rates to which they replied in an aggressive way. Check in was OK. They e You have to pay the tourist tax (even if on your confirmation they mention it is not applicable). The hostel is very well located. It is a small hostel, beds are comfortable. Male dorm is divided in 3 sections 8 4 and 4 beds. Bathroom is acceptable for a hostel, however dirty. 4 small showers. Small terrace is not worth mentioning. We were only 4 to 7 people in the dorm of 16 beds (strange seen the high season, but understandable with this miss management). This could be a very nice place if the staff did not ruin the whole experience. The hostel has a lot of rules to respect, and the most annoying was that you cannot shower between 23h30 and 08h00. The receptionist told me this was because the showers make noise and disturb the silence in their private apartment. So well they don't care about the guests and the hospitality. Especially in summer time its hot in BCN and its good to shower before sleep. You also cannot shower between 11h30 and 14h00 due to cleaning. Like 2 hours to clean 6 square meters... and still molt everywhere. Check out is 11h30. As I had a late afternoon flight, I asked to store my luggage, which the receptionist did not want to do because he had no space except if you pay 10 euro (which is ridiculous amount to keep a bag). Then I asked him to take a shower before going to the airport and he did not allow me to do that. I asked him to call his manager but he did not want. He was very rude and uncommercial. My conclusion is: don't book this place and if you booked, cancel and book another accommodation (you are allowed to cancel up to 7 days before departure without penalties according to their website). There is a lot very nice hostels all over the city. Amazing hostels, nice staff. But don't go to Don Moustache. They will probably reply in capital letters to my review instead of giving a commercial gesture and excuses. Anyways, I go 4-5 times a year to BCN, mostly with friends and so it's a missed opportunity to gain happy satisfied customers. Good luck.
