Sitting on a 5 acre private farm just 35 minutes north of downtown Nashville in the town of Cottontown, the cabin is conveniently only 10 minutes from I-65.We have furnished the cabin with your comfort in mind. You will find a large open living area with a stone gas fireplace for chilly cozy evenings. There is a full kitchen with everything you'll need for home-cooked meals complete with a full size refrigerator and dishwasher. The main floor master bedroom features a queen size bed and private bath with jacuzzi tub. Upstairs there is a bedroom with two twin beds plus, a loft with another twin bed, and a rollaway bed available upon request. The loft also has a desk for guest use with twin monitors and a 2nd full bath with a stand up shower. A washer & dryer are also provided for your convenience. Outside you can relax on one of two porches watching the cows graze.Around the farm you will occasionally see deer making their way across the pasture. You will encounter rabbits too - especially at night. Our cows may come to the fence to see who is here. The Location:You’ll love the peaceful, bucolic location of this property! "Johnny Cabin" sits on treed acreage. The original cabin structure pre-civil war era was reconstructed on this property by famed preservationist builder Braxton Dixon. The cabin has been beautifully renovated with careful attention to providing modern comfort along with beautiful interiors. There are antiques found locally and original to the cabin when we purchased it. Full size modern kitchen with new appliances, bathroom with oversized tile shower and stack washer and dryer. This historical 1700’s cabin has been upgraded to fit your needs for an amazing vacation of entertainment and relaxation. Only a 20 min drive from Nashville and just 5 minutes from local shopping and food. Our cabin is the perfect mix of city and country. It is located on a 5 acre shared estate. We encourage our guests to enjoy the creek and pavilion during during their stay. Early morning or evening hours are perfect for listening to the birds sing or watching the deer graze. We have placed a couple of hammocks at the creek for afternoon napping or creek side book reading. There are also some great sitting stones and a couple of benches for your enjoyment as well. The cabin has all your basic needs and is fully stocked with all the linens (towels and bedding) and cooking supplies one could need. Access to the upstairs bedroom and bathroom is via a ladder/style staircase. It’s steep but has handrails for your assistance. On the second floor you have a very large master with en suite bathroom, a stand up shower and closet. Basic shower soaps provided. The bedroom has a small sitting space and has been outfitted with a queen bed. There is ample natural light in the cabin and a cozy back porch. The porch faces a shared quart yard space between this cabin and a small cottage but each guest also has their own yard space. We are also conveniently located near a new park/coffee house “Legacy Park” and just a 5 min drive from interstate access to explore all the local fun. We have included a basket of Nashville site seeing flyers and some games for the evenings. As well as wifi and a “Roku smart tv” for the evenings you rather crash with a movie.
