Really nice location with river view. The host was really friendly! He came to pick us at the bus station and showed us how to reach the hotel. He also helped us and answered all our questions! 100% reccomended :-)

Very nice place! Right in the river. If you want to sleep early, It's a little noisy because it's at front of restaurants and karaoke's. But, the window is good enough to sleep. The noise stop at 12:00. The owner help me with the bags in the walking area. Everything was OK!

Perfect location for great river views. The staff came and to get me where the taxi dropped me off at. They where more than friendly. Would recommend this place to any staying in the ancient town. If I go back this is where I will stay.

Hygiene was poor, in the teapot i found moldy tea that had obviously been there a long time. The showers were in poor condition not being able to hold itself up (shower head) as well as the actual shower was really not that clean. Walls and windows were quite dirty as well in addition to the tables provided in- and outside on the balcony. Other than that the service was good, helped me find the hotel from the bus station as well as guide me to a taxi.

Firstly, we booked a street side room, but I saw the room with a balcony over the river and it is well-worth the upgrade!! Highly recommend splurging for the river view. The owner/manager was great, spoke English, and was very helpful. He met us where the taxi dropped us and assisted with carrying our luggage. He did the same when we left, which was much appreciated. If you book pretty much any of the hotels along the river, you will need to walk a bit and it might be a bit difficult. One thing to be mindful of is that there are a lot of mosquitoes in the vicinity. That’s just part of the experience being along the river. The hotel provides a plug in device for mosquitoes and once you turn on the a/c, the mosquitoes tend to go away. Still, you may want to bring some bug spray. There were a couple other types of bugs around, but overall not too unpleasant. Again, nothing much any of the river-side inns can do about it. We stayed for just one night so even though the room is small, we managed ok. Overall, we highly recommend this inn, but go for the riverside view with balcony. It’s beautiful and you will be able to take very cute photos there.

The homestay was in a fantastic location right on the waterfront. The photos show the view from our balcony. Our host was very friendly and responsive to messages, gave clear instructions on how to get to the homestay and even helped us with our luggage. He also organised our transport back to the station, and recommended a great local restaurant for dinner!

I loved this place! I think it’s one of the best spots in the ancient town: very close to where taxis can drop you off, so you don’t have to walk too much with your luggage, and walking distance from everything! The staff is super duper useful and, very unusual in China, speaks very good English! They have given me all kinds of tips, from restaurants to daily activities or transport from and to the station. The rooms with view on the river are super nice! Maybe the rooms are just a little small for two people, but I am one so for me it was perfect!
