Excellent location, close to the historical cultural area Three Places and Seven Lanes. The scenic West Lake Park is just next to the hotel. You can go to the park through the hotel’s private door. The hotel employees are nice and helpful. The room with lake view is fabulous.

Lived up to its five star reputation - great location by the lake side of famous West Lake park, spacious room with ample choices of snacks and drinks (pay extra of course) and the unbelievable wide selection of breakfast choice.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Lakeside! The location is ideal, with the West Lake trail right at the doorstep. Everything you need is conveniently within walking distance. The hotel's cleanliness is exceptional, ensuring a very comfortable experience. The breakfast was delightful, offering a wide range from traditional continental options to local delicacies. The staff were friendly and professional, always ready to help with a smile. I highly recommend this hotel.

My family of six, including four elderly, had a very pleasant stay at Lakeside Hotel. The breakfast buffet selection was superb and was the best we had among all hotel stays during our trip. The rooms were very clean, the beds were comfortable, and toilets were spacious. We would like to specially express our appreciation to xiao guo from the front desk (前台的小郭）and hong （礼宾部的泓先生） from the hotel concierge for their great customer service. Xiao guo was attentive to our needs, and Hong had helped us receive a parcel and paid for it in advance as we did not have a local number. Highly recommended hotel！

The hotel was beautiful. Breakfast, mainly Chinese, was a great selection of freshly made to order items. Rooms were spacious and clean. I would recommend this hotel to others and I would book here again. The only complaint I have is with some of the other guests smoking inside the hotel which made it hard to breathe.

Love it for its location and its proximity to the west lake. Such I pity I couldn’t get a lake view room. Hotel feels abit old, has no direct access the west lake, notwithstanding that it is just in front of it. I got to make a detour to get to it. Buffet dinner has a decent spread given that hotel guests only pays RM155. The tea leaves in the hotel cost a bomb too. As I do not read Chinese characters well, I didn’t know that they charge the tea leaves and used them, and ended up paying around RMB 200 for a packet of tea leaves (2 servings). I would suggest that they write the costs in English too.
