White Swan Hotel recensioner

Excellent services and great facilities. Front desk manager Ms. Yan did a fabulous job to meet our needs by having an engineer to solve the voltage conversion problem, she recommended room change for the best view, and offered us various dining options with great deal. Our first stay for about a week. The guest relationship offered us a free upgrade for our second stay (for about two weeks), which made us very happy and feeling warm. The concierge and the restaurant personnels are very professional and polite, the food is super delicious! We are truly very satisfied with our stay in white swan hotel. Definitely we will recommend it to all friends and will stay again in white swan hotel in near future.

Wonderful hotel with delicious restaurants, the hotel has indoor gardens with ponds full of kois and even waterfall. The staffs were very helpful especially Clair from Club Lounge, she gave us a phenomenal services and exceeded our expectations. We really enjoyed our stay.

One of my best stays in Guangzhou. The service of the staff is very warm and welcoming. And bed is super comfy and the room is definitely a must stay to view the river in GZ. Highly recommended. My parents enjoyed it very much too. It’s totally worth it.

A very nice hotel in a great historic location - Shamian island. Fantastic view from the river view suite, beautiful garden with a waterfall inside the hotel and awesome decorations in the halls. Friendly and helpful staff. Definitely will be staying there again.

We were supposed to make a trip to Guilin but changed our mind the very last minute. Aa we've not visited Shamian Island, we made a last minute booking at the White Swan. I was rather worried and apprehensive as I read some poor reviews. When I arrived at the hotel lobby, my first impression already started to change. We had asked for a smoking room and the front desk staff told us that it's only available on a lower floor. Though a little disappointed we agreed to take the room as we wanted to check in and rest. However, the staff managed to get one of the smoking rooms in a higher floor as cleaning was completed. Stepping into our river view room was the 2nd great impression. The room had a full view of the Pearl River. The bathroom was huge and bright. Even my 15 yr old daughter fell in love. We've stayed in some very good hotels such as Ritz, Kempinski and Capella etc, and this room can be ranked up there. We needed an extra bed and the housekeeping staff set it up quickly, bringing with them a set of extra amenities as well. We tried the Chinese restaurant. Good but I wouldn't say it was 'wow'. There's turn down service every night and the housekeeping staff leaves a nice little box of biscuits as night treat. Rooms were made up promptly everyday and bottled water refilled. The staff was proactive, knowing that there were 3 of us, they actually placed extra bottles of water for us. If I have any complaint, it would be the pillows. Though there was a pillow menu, somehow all the pillows were still really flat. I had a bit of stiff neck and I told the housekeeping staff. They very kindly brought a few extra pillows so that I could prop up to a comfortable level. Location is also convenient with many restaurants and cafes nearby. A short walk will bring you to a nearby mall and the metro station. Compared to the Conrad where we stayed the last trip, this definitely fare much much better. Will be our top choice if I come to GZ again.

Service: we booked a river-view on executive floor, the check-in and check-out was done in the executive clue lounge. The staff there was helpful, polite and warm Room: Room is clean and spacious. Nice view facing the river, same applies to the bathtub Breakfast: fantastic, with lots of choices, and the service was very good

Room is very clean. The view to the street also amazing. I’m ungraded to bigger room and no regrets. Will definitely come back for my next trip.

Great hotel! We arrived in the evening and still had time to enjoy the pool. There is a heated pool, which was a nice bonus. It was also convenient that they sell swim trunks and swimsuits by the pool—we took advantage of that!

The hotel is located right beside the river and in the charming Shamian Island with lots of beautiful buildings nearby. We booked a city view room which has a panoramic view over the neighbouring area. Rooms are reasonably big and clean. There are lots of restaurants in the hotel and nearby which offers good Guangzhou cuisine. Getting around is easy also. Definitely worth the price.

Decent hotel. Location-wise, It’s within walking distance (20 minute walk) to Vanke Square/the Chinese Opera Museum/Bruce Lee’s home which is a must-see area when in Guangzhou so that’s nice. In the area right outside the hotel, you will see nice European style buildings from back in the 1900s which is also another sightseeing item in Guangzhou. So its a convenient place to hit several tourists spots.   As for the hotel itself, it’s as-expected of a higher level hotel and for the price charged. Nothing impressive in my opinion.  Living in this hotel is more about experiencing history, experiencing this hotel that is the pride of Guangzhou back in the days.
