As a green card holder of China, permanent residence card issued by the China, check in was some what simple at the start. It then became extremely complicated when I started to receive phones calls while out on business - for a copy of my green card ( Chinese residency card ) it was extremely unpleasant, unprofessional and uncomfortable. I can appreciate that they probably don’t come across many people with this card but the level of indirect racism was just unpleasant. The whole purpose of a card being issued to foreigners to the contribution is a reward from China. This hotel made me feel like we were worthless, I will be sure to be taken this up further. We are supposed to be treated some what equal regardless of one nationality ( As I’m a British national with a permanent resident card in China ) 2nd issue I had with this hotel was that a young man at the front desk was very aggressive to another woman ( local Chinese woman ) then began to become aggressive to me, I was at the time only asking about extending my night to another day at the time. He was so aggressive, unpleasant and unprofessional- it made me feel very uncomfortable. This type of young man should never be working in hospitality. The purpose of any hotel is to represent the brand and provide a warm welcome to everyone, regardless of their nationality. This location is a place whereby nationalities from all over the world visit and I suggest all the staff need to be retrained ( apart from one lady, dressed in pink - she was very professional, understanding and considerate) she definitely needs to be located in a hotel where service is at the most important. She was very good at her job, Head-office staff really need to reward a person like her. She went out of her way to provide a free basket of fruit to apologize for the inconvenience caused to me. Thank you . 3rd problem - my room had ladies hair on the towels on the wall of the bathroom - it was dreadful- I just can’t imagine. Other than all my problems with this hotel, the location is very good because it’s near the subway near the leather markets / food shops nearby so it’s very convenient. I suggest head office that you really need to look at the issues at this hotel and promote the lady wearing a pink suit. Just also to note the other staff members at the front desk need further training as they also weren’t good. It’s unfortunate as the world is witnessing poor customer service and this is a big representation to the country as it’s the 1st experience people will note when they stay at this hotel.
