Hangzhou Mulandao Hotel (Hefangjie Branch)

The hotel is in the middle of Hefang, we love this area. Staffs are so supportive and the price is good

The location - it's center of the old street. Great for tourist. Walking distance to the famous morning Market. The hotel is tucked at a corner of an alleyway. We arrived midnight and the whole street was dark. The room is nice but strangely, the maintenance was bad. The exhaust fan was dangling like it was going to fall anytime. The rain shower heD was leaking. I had to screw it tight myself. The staircase going to the bed was scary. If you are w old people, pls don't book those with 2 floors. It was steep, narrow and the handrail was wobbly. If you trip or anything, most probably the handrail will collapse. The bedsheets have some human hair sticking on it. And entering the room, there's some dust ball flying around. Not sure it was some grass seed/pollen (spring time) or just not being cleaned properly. It was only 1 night for us and didn't really bother about all these.

I didn't expect to be staying in such a beautiful hotel, given the price I paid. It is nested in an amazing old quarter. Literally just behind the hotel, and from there you can also walk to the famous big park that everybody talks about. I posted a few images from the old town and the park. The girl from the reception is super cute and helpful. She can speak english as well, which is a super plus. Hotel wise: super clean, newly renovated. It is a cultural heritage building so no elevator. It's not that bad to do bits of exercise of lifting your luggage there. The tea/ book room downstairs is just top. I was working there for a few hours and it was perfect. Quiet. Clean, and serene. Remember to have a converter because they only have this 3- thin-hole-plug style. The reception can land you in the meantime too. We love everything about this place 💕

Staff, including the 小帅哥 are all helpful and even helped me with the weather etc during my stay. The location is great, with a genuine feel of old Hangzhou which you won't get from the city hotels. The hotel is also located beside the 鼓楼， opposite luckin coffee and 新周记restaurant which I recommend to eat the prawn/fish lychee looking ball. Only downside is that the reception is not 24 hours but they do leave a contract number to call if you are late, after 11pm for check in. If you don't have a china number, you can always use WeChat to call them.

The place is so nice. It’s very near to Hefang Street, the West lake, and it’s accessible to the nearest metro station. You can also book a car nearby as well. I love how quiet and peaceful the place is! Please be advised that they don’t have elevators, so if you have a big luggage kindly ask them to help you with it. ☺️
