Hangzhou Qiyue Westlake Songyin Hotel

Really great hotel in excellent location next to in77 shopping centre. The staff were friendly enough to get by with minimal English. Breakfast was mediocre for my taste (warm orange juice…), but had a range of selections for most people. We only used breakfast once in our 3 day stay. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Lots of different light settings, automatic curtains, kettle and bathroom amenities. Would have helped if there was a small fridge in the mini-bar. Comfy bed and high pressure shower! There is a self-service laundry on floor 4, but only two machines (one was broken during our stay). Using the washing machine is free and detergent is provided, but there may be a wait if someone is already using it. We set a timer so we could go back when the previous cycle finished. The machine is a dryer as well, but doesn’t dry well (recommend spinning at high speed and then hanging in your room). No other facilities in this hotel were used. Most mornings there was a smoking smell coming from the corridor, possibly from other clients staying in the hotel? I found a cigarette butt by the lift on floor 6, but the hotel policy is no smoking… overall, a very good value stay for the location within walking distance to Xihu/Westlake and nearby shops. The rooms we booked were very nice and I recommend them.
