Am Samui Resort Taling Ngam

Very secluded spot with lovely bungalows on the beach the shower is not very good the sink and tap are loose this isn’t too much of a problem for me but maybe to some, The beach itself is nice but it’s very shallow water and we have seen some beautiful beaches whilst here in Thailand I would rate this one 3-10 There is not really a beach walk We have booked for 2 nights which will be perfect wouldn’t want to stay any longer.

Am Samui resort is a quiet and peaceful accommodation with a nice, quiet beach to walk along and a restaurant with good food. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The bungalow we had to switch to, as the AC didn't work in the first one, was very good - a comfortable bed, good AC and a fridge, cleaning every day and refilling of water bottles, tea and coffee. Nice view of the sea, close to sunbeds. Thai massage can be booked at short notice. The pool is good. This is a quiet place overall with little traffic, few people, few stray dogs, no crowds whatsoever, no beach vendors, no hustle and bustle! Lovely! It's easy to walk or go by a scooter to 7/11 and other restaurants nearby, or to travel by taxi to other places on the island for shopping, excursions and activities, more restaurants, more beaches. Very good yoga classes are available a few minutes' walk away, at Marga yoga. Also more good restaurants. I highly recommend Am samui resort on the west coast of Koh Samui.

I lost my usb key in the room and the staff don’t seem to care about it. The receptionist is not friendly to asian tourist. The beach is dirty because there is a river beside that is not clean at all Food is overpricing. Motorbike is not well mentained The boy who serve the food is untidy.

I chose this place because of the relative remoteness and beauty. If you want nightlife and markets this is not the place. However, if you want to relax away from busy tourist areas this resort is terrific. It was also a pleasant surprise to find horse-riding which I really enjoyed. (Make sure you book horse riding at a time that is not high tide.) The food is great value and there are good alternative options within walking distance. There are a couple of things that could be improved but I had the pleasure of meeting the new owner Matt and management team and I am sure that they will make this place even better and really capitalize on the location. I loved my stay here - which was quite long.

The best resort we have ever stay in. We liked everything here, the sea view, the room, the staff attitude, the food were excellent. It's one of the best Thai massage here on the beach. Always available the car or bike for rent. We will sure come back here again. Thank you guys for everything!

We have stayed in this hotel for two nights. Firstly, we really liked the bungalow that we had however few things were not on spot. The shower was not a memorable experience, the plugs located into the wardrobe was not the most suitable location for having your phone charged, Internet Wi-Fi does not exist, but the most important thing is the professionalism of the staff, English must be mandatory when works in an hospitality jobs and we had really many trouble in getting the most basic information about tours and things to do into the area (and believe me there are not so many). Also, the place looked really empty, the beach was not memorable like the restaurant, and after 9 pm everything is completely left in the darkness, there is literally nobody around and all lights are totally shut. I do understand that if I want to be in the middle of the buzz, this place might no be suitable but at least keep the lights on. The best thing were the stray dogs around, they were simply adorable. I’ll strongly recommend to rent a bike otherwise
