"Hotel not in busy city area but very convenient; Shopping mall & metro station is at next door. Overall Staff is attentive. They are not doing any fancy such room upgrade, big smile greeting or give out some souvenir. But I can feel some staff are very mindful such as women staff at gym, repair staff sent to my room to fix air conditioning problem; 2 thumps up for their truly service mind. Amenities is old style but I like most for baht tub & washing machine in room."

"Most of the staff do not speak English at all! Only the guys at the reception speak good English and all questions had to be resolved with them, including the restaurant menu - no one in the restaurant, even with my use of a Chinese online translator, could help me with questions about the menu and when I asked the person at the reception to help me understand the menu, it turned out that the kitchen could not cook either the first course from the menu or the second. With dietary restrictions and allergies, you can die of hunger here. I consider it unacceptable to have non-English-speaking staff in a franchise of an English establishment. The cook at breakfast talks on the phone right at the place where food is prepared during breakfast. I wanted to ask him a question about the dishes on the first day - he was texting on the phone, on the second day he was directly talking on the phone. The dishes at breakfast are either not named at all or are named only in Chinese. There was no seller in the store at the hotel no matter how many times I went in to buy a T-shirt. In the end, I tried on what I was interested in at the store, chose it and went to the reception to pay for it. The next day, a salesperson appeared in the store and told me that the T-shirt I bought the day before had a 20% discount for a month, but when I paid for it, I paid it full price and thus I was deceived by 20% of the cost of the T-shirt and did not give any receipt. The pool is very small and not deep for such a huge hotel. If there is someone else in the pool besides your partner, there is not enough space. The sea near the hotel is dirty. Nothing is suitable for swimming - there are no sun loungers, there is no space on the beach specifically for the guests of the hotel. The beach is across the road from the hotel. There was only one coffee machine at breakfast and it didn't work both days. You could ask a restaurant worker for coffee. The hotel by the way has a cool energetic staff and that's nice. The room cleaning is high-quality. There are renovations going on at the hotel and guests can't use all the hotel areas."

"I will start with the positive and say that the resort is located on a hill facing the sea and some mountains so I was happy that I had a good view from my room window. The balcony was an added bonus, but although I went for a deluxe double room, there was nothing deluxe about it! I stayed in 3 & 4 star hotels in China that they were not much different than this room I was given. The staff were very polite and accommodating, but most of them had very little English or no English at all - had to use a translation app or repeat/rephrase a few times (Chinese & English are the spoken languages according to the website). The wifi is very weak so I kept using my own mobile data. The rooms are not sound insulated so I kept hearing the banging of nearby doors and people passing or stalling/talking along the corridor. In a nutshell, the amenities and service offered do not compare to the experience I had at Hilton hotels elsewhere. It is definitely not good value for money. Disappointing."

"Great location, across from Zhongshan square and 15 minutes walk to Russia street. The marina is a short 10-15 mini taxi ride. This hotel is like an old style China hotel, it’s kind of grand and is kept in relatively good condition, but it is dated with dark wood furniture and not in keeping with the high expectation of an InterContinental, especially compared with other cities. Also, there is a weird smell in the room, and the breakfast spread is limited, even in the club lounge. Also, there was no acknowledgment of my milestone birthday, which was disappointing. On the positive, the executive room is a nice size, bathroom is huge, shower is powerful, the condition is ok, bed and pillows are comfortable, no coffee machine, but free access to lounge with afternoon tea on both days and happy hour where food is served. The pool is large and up to 1.8m deep. The price is relatively good, so overall it was enjoyable. Thanks also to Grace who gave me a late check out and a magnet. I hope they refurbish the hotel soon, as it could be better, through it ain’t that bad ether."

"My stay at The Castle Hotel was absolutely magnificent. The room condition was pristine with the signature Marriott comfort, and the view from the balcony, especially the laser show at night, was breathtaking. However, what truly made this stay the best hotel experience of my life was the service. I want to express my deepest gratitude to my concierge, Irene. She was incredibly professional and efficient, resolving every inquiry within 5 minutes. Furthermore, she went above and beyond by preparing a surprise gift for my mother's birthday and upgrading us to a balcony room. My mother was deeply touched, and it made our trip unforgettable. I felt treated like royalty throughout my stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dalian."

"We stayed in this hotel as a couple for 4 days during Chinese national day holiday. We booked east wing rooms and the room decorations is a bit old but room is very comfortable and big. Hotel location is great and only 10 minutes walk to Zhongshan Square and subway. There is lots of restaurants and shopping malls near hotel. The breakfast is not very reach in Western foods."

"I’ve stayed at this Hyatt location 3 times this past year. It is definitely my favorite staycation city getaway ! The location, large rooms with spectacular sea views, tubs and waterfall showers. friendly staff, and all the best amenities: poll, hot tub, spa, restaurants on site, and an overall relaxing vibe. "This hotel is supercool. walk distance to the venice ciry. Clean, tidy room with beautiful sea and city view. I have experienced one of the bathrooms with beautiful view for the first time. Friendly reception staff and manager. Received 3 pastry cakes as birthday gift for my wife from the manager. I will admire the manager in charge miss Sun Wei for her great services. I recommend staying here"
