We went here twice in november since we like it so much! We had planned 2 nights but ended up staying in total 8 nights. We had a newly built room in the main building with a fantastic view of the beach from our balcony. The hotel is situated on the central part of Patnem beach which we think is the best we have encountered in India, it is cleaned daily which gives result!. It is a calm place which suits us. The staff including owners are really nice and helpful, they made us feel "like home." The restaurant has lots of different kind if food and drinks at very reasonable prices. To sit and watch the sunset from the restaurant is the perfect holiday ockupation.. If ever in India again we will surely stay at this place. Highly recommended!

Arrived on the night bus from Hampi at 5:30 am and ended up checking in for 3 nights. Liked the colourful huts out the back which are mostly shaded by trees and which also have a breezeway from the beach so ideal for sitting out on the verandah ( maybe choose one back from the restaurant kitchen). They also have tiled floors and verandah unlike some of the more rickety shacks down the beach. You could spend all day in the restaurant looking out over the sea without running up much of a tab. We tried some other restaurants but the food here was as good as anywhere. Right in the middle of the beach so good for walking north and south, also just next door to the yoga centre .

Reviews were great so we decided to stay. It’s a good location, Patnem is much calmer than its better known neighbour of Palolem and yet it has everything you could want for a stay of a few days. Om Shanti has a chilled almost Caribbean feel and the food and drink that we had over 5 days was great, especially the items from the Tandoor. Reasonable choice of beer, kingfisher of course in all its variations as well as Tuborg and Heineken but best off were the cocktails, 2 for 1 offer from 6 till 10 mean 2 for about £3!! And they are yummy. The rooms are literally sheds so v thin walls, there’s quite a bit of noise from the street that’s parallel with it so ear plugs are a must - if you want good sleep, air conditioning when working was v good the Wi-Fi less so, only really good when In the bar. Great value for the money and very helpful staff too. Shower rooms v basic so if you expect that then you’ll be happy.

Second stay at Om Shanti. Booked a beach facing hut right next to the shack and right on the beach. As always staff were amazing friendly helpful and always a smile. Room is adequate for a short stay clean and functional. Food at the shack was good as always with plenty of chouse. This year the weather was very warm with temperatures of over 90’ on the beach (bit too warm for me) but the aircon was working a treat.

I can’t recommend Om Shanti enough. Perfect location and fantastic food but it’s the staff who really make it special. They are attentive and always on hand to ensure your stay is perfect. A huge thank you to Nanu for arranging my wonderful surprise birthday cake! Enjoy their salads at lunch and fresh fish (especially the prawns) at dinner. Perfect holiday!

The whole experience was amazing. The staff are incredible, the rooms are great with views of sea. The food is fantastic. I will definitely be back again. The location was perfect for sunsets and close to other parts of coast such as Palolem.

All very good, clean huts, good food. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Will go again. From minute we arrived we felt at home ! Very relaxing time and weather was so good. Only stayed 2 nights but will come longer next time. A very enjoyable break

We booked 2 days here to visit the beach. We really enjoyed the serene ambience and the location, so booked an additional stay. The rooms are clean, a/c gets really cold and basic toiletries are provided. There is even a clothesline for each room to use outside. The restaurant has a good variety of food at fair prices. Each table has a great view of the ocean, as well as some lounge spots in the front of the restaurant. Im not sure if I met the owner or manager, but I wish they would have smiled more or seemed more upbeat. I can't complain other than that. Overall, a great stay. Lots of shops, groceries, and restaurants in walking distance. Prime location.
