After reading some bad reviews I was nervous about this hotel however upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised. Easy to find, green named door next to a pizza takeaway. I whatsapped to ask for entry and they replied straight away. Buzzer entry. Reception on the 3rd floor, there are stairs so not ideal for mobility issues or heavy and large cases! The lady at reception (I didn’t catch her name) was lovely! Very friendly, helpful and recommended places to visit on a map. Entry was via buzzer at front door, key to lobby and key to room. We were able to check in early and had an upgrade to our room. I slept on a sofa bed and sister on a double bed. Both very comfortable with plenty of pillows and blankets. Room basic but useable. Great for a few nights stay. I can not fault this hotel. Do not believe all the reviews! I would recommend and stay again. Location perfect. Lovely receptionist and perfect for what we needed with the price!

The rooms ain't clean enough. Dust and dirt. The comunication with the host hasn't been good. I wont book with em anymore. Additionally, the view did not meet my expectations, which was a further disappointment. I would recommend that the property prioritize improving their cleaning procedures and communication with guests...

A great guest house right by the Colosseum. Friendly staff who were very helpful. Rooms were very clean and cleaned daily with fresh towels. Coffee making facilities were in a shared area. We had an early flight so arrived before check in but was kindly allowed to keep bags in one room which was ready. When arriving it’s not well advertised, it’s just a door next to a take away pizza restaurant. The rooms are situated up a few flights of stairs which we knew before we booked so wasn’t a problem. The key to get into the main area was sometimes tricky for some of our group. A great stay. Thank you

I will never book this hotel again. It cancelled our reservation few days before coming to Rome. I read in reviews, that this kind of rude behaving is normal for the management of the hotel, but I didn´t believe it could happen. But it happened to us too. So, be aware of HQH Colosseo Daplace Collection! Be aware, that rooms are at 4th floor without elevator. Recommendation: read the bad reviews, they are TRUE!!! Enjoy your stay in another hotel. Like we did.

Attitude of staffulty and hotel is unserious, we had a confirmed reservation with payment upon arrival. The hotel has cancelled our reservation without letting us know, we were trying to reach out to them but they didn’t answer our messages and calls. As we needed a hotel room for our stay in Rome which was already planned we kept on trying to reach out to them. But unsuccessfully. Later than we got offered a hotel room for twice the price we originally reserved. Almost due to this experience we couldn’t spend holiday in Rome but luckily on the last minute we reserved another hotel room.

Disgusting will never stay here again, waste of our money. The rooms DO NOT look like the pictures, they are totally different and the rooms are old and stuff is broken. Mould on the curtains and all over the bathroom. We came back after sightseeing and the whole room STANK of sewage, coming from the bathroom drain! Water leaked all over the bathroom floor because there isn’t even a proper shower curtain or door on the shower. We booked the junior suite and paid extra for that room, it was the furthest thing from a junior suite! It was disgusting and not clean. We put a towel down on the bathroom floor to soak up the water and the towel was black! Just shows how filthy the floor is, this was 20 minutes after we checked in, obviously the rooms are not cleaned properly. The Italian girl who checked us in and on reception with the big curly hair who never smiles! She was the rudest women , sarcastic and not helpful at all! They say there’s a coffee machine but it doesn’t even work! She saw it was broken and didn’t even offer to fix it. There’s no lift, so you’re expected to lift your luggage up 4 flights of stairs?! Need to update their pictures to reflect what the true state of the building and rooms actually is! Also our room was opened twice by staff, once by a man who walked in on me as I was undressing! No apology… how is that acceptable to just think you can walk into people rooms?? Never again.

The only positive thing is that it is close to tourist attractions! Disadvantages in cleanliness. It has no elevator. And it is not at all safe for the things left in the room when you go for a walk! There are so many rooms in Rome, do a better search than us!

Camere pulite e molto tranquille nonostante il palazzo sia in zona centrale. Comodo a tutto…. Posto strategico. Ragazza reception sempre disponibile e gentile per chiarimenti…raggiungibile anche telefonicamente … Una mattina x sbaglio o x incomprensione non ci è stata rifatta la stanza ma il giorno successivo tutto perfetto. Tutto ben organizzato.
