Hotel Residenza in Farnese

We recently stayed at this hotel for four nights in a twin room while exploring Rome. Pros: - Location: Excellent—within a short walking distance of the city's main attractions. - Staff: Exceptionally friendly and accommodating, with good English proficiency. They provided great restaurant recommendations and arranged transportation efficiently. - Issue Resolution: Any concerns, such as toilet problems and loud neighboring guests, were addressed promptly and professionally. - Airport Transfer Assistance: Despite initial confusion due to arriving at a different terminal, the hotel's quick response via email and phone call helped resolve the situation. - Breakfast was decent, offering a satisfactory selection. Cons: - Dated Interior: The hotel would benefit from some renovation to modernise its facilities. - Room Keys: Guests are required to leave their room key at reception upon leaving, which might feel inconvenient to some. - Safe Security: The room safe operates with a physical key instead of a digital code. - Bathroom Facilities: The toilet had issues that were quickly fixed, but the shower took around 10 minutes to provide hot water. - Cleanliness: While not dirty, the room did not feel thoroughly clean.

An old but decent hotel, with nice clean rooms in a convenient location. The breakfast is very good and the staff very helpful. You can walk to the most ancient monuments easy and is surrounded by a lot of restaurants and bars. Although when you first see the hotel from outside may be disappointed, when you enter it you will change your mind. And after you walk 100 meters you will find a lot of restaurants. The only minus is some smell of the drainage in the bathroom but not always.

The service was outstanding, with friendly and attentive staff who made our stay truly enjoyable. The hotel's location is ideal—close to all the sights and attractions we wanted to explore. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean, making it the perfect retreat after a day out. We're so happy we chose this hotel and will definitely return!

Just a heads up to anyone considering staying at this hotel: I made a reservation for January 2025. I made the reservation directly on their website. This reservation was fully refundable, and I have the printed confirmation showing the refundable status. We've had to cancel our trip for this December. I have emailed Hotel Residenza in Farnese FOUR times, asking to cancel. I have included our name, dates of stay and the reservation confirmation number in each email. (I used the direct email link on their web page) I even translated one email to Italian! Each time I have received an auto reply confirmation that my email has been received. Despite my request for confirmation of the cancellation, I have not received a reply. They have my credit card number, as they request it to hold the reservation. I'm hoping we will not be charged! We have rescheduled our trip for March of 2025, and you can be sure we are NOT staying at Hotel Residenza in Farnese! .

Hi. We had a great experience at Hotel Residenza. Irene at the front desk was wonderful and help to accommodate us when we required one room for one person and a second room with two twin beds. The breakfast rocked and Jessica was super. We are returning in October 2024 with three other folks and have requested 4 rooms. Great location, great staff and great service. Hotel Residenza in Farnese is superior to other places I have stayed in the city center of Rome and is very close to the main sites of Piazza Navona, the Pantheon and the Trastevere. This was a great base for my trip to Rome. The location is on a quiet street away from the crowds, but it's within walking distance or public transport of all the major spots you want to visit. A few steps and you're walking along the Tiber or to the restaurants of Trastevere. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and varied. I would certainly stay here again.
