Old Shanghai Huixiang Hotel recensioner

Few hours stayed for shower and rest. But not recommended for full night stay! Stairs are narrow and not possible to carry the luggage up to the room as not enough space to put it!

The hotel is at very good location. Convenient to all nearby attraction. Wang at the reception is a really nice guy. He helped us a lot for booking cabs.

The hotel is in a strategic location. The room is ok, but a little improvement can make it up to the value i paid. The air-conditioning unit in the room is really cold, but its giving out rattling sounds. The plumbing for the toilet seat was left with a surprise coming in. There is no elevator, so if your luggage is light, then its ok. Or else you would have to carry up around 2 floors. The staff at the counter is very helpful in helping our luggage and problems.

Convenient stay for one night. Comfy bed, air conditioner works fine, bathroom has decent water pressure.

Excellent location, the room was spacious, the air conditioner works. Of the minuses - there is no elevator in the hotel and if you have a lot of luggage, contact the hotel to be accommodated on the lower floor. It was also not very clean, the main thing was that there was clean bed linen. Hotel in the center, excellent location, for this price a good hotel to sleep. So I can recommend this hotel if you are a solo traveler and want live in central area with very good price !

Hotel was perfectly located near the pedestrian street, where you can find a lot of restaurants, convenience stores and shops. The air conditioning worked perfectly and cold, the bed was also very comfortable, I didn’t want to get up!! Room wallpaper could be fixed/improved.

An atmospheric hotel with an excellent location. The friendly staff is always ready to help. There is a shared refrigerator, washing machine, and microwave oven.

While I wouldn’t call it vintage, the building is certainly very old and not in the best repair. The room really felt like it could do with a deep clean, especially the walls. And be advised there is no elevator. However, the bed was comfortable and having a window was nice. Wifi signal was stable and strong. The two staff members I spoke to were super friendly and helpful. Location was good, about 5 mins from the mtr. If you’re a nerd there is also a shopping mall just for anime stuff nearby. All in all, more of a cheap perfunctory place to put your head, if that suits your needs.

Location was near to where we needed to be. The hotel is very old and in need of renovation, flaky uneven walls, floor is sagging and sloped to the centre of the room. Room was not cleaned and new towels only supplied when requested. There are no facilities, says there is a tv, but there is not, internet was very poor and un-usable. Much better hotels in the area, for the same price, would not stay here again.

Over all was nice, just very cold inside the room. And the third floor felt like 5th floor.

The location was fantastic for exploring Shanghai and the main attractions in the city center could be reached with a bit of walking. Although the receptionist did not speak much English, he was very polite and used a translation software to communicate so that was not a problem. The room was good for the price.

it was the most terrible hotel that I had seen before. no elevator no tea bag or coffee no water bottle nothing in the room expected kettle, old dryer. shower area wasmudy and moulded, very disgusting. dryer was very old and worked for 10 seconds, then stopped for 30 minutes. tv out of order, I asked every time for fix it, but after 5 times following up, the manager shouted me that , no tv, not working tv at room , understand no tv. twice repeated. very dirty, not daily cleaning, every where was messy, no provided , tea bags, water, toothbrush and paste, last day I wanted to check out at 9 am, I gave the key and walked out , then I decided to back to hotel up to 12, but she said you can't get the key , I said it's l ess than a minute, up to noon I booked it , but she not accepted and said no way to get the key back, wasting money there.
