Mercure Shanghai Hongqiao South recensioner

While the location was not the best, the area is quiet and accessible by ride hailing. The hotel is clean , updated and service was excellent. The rooms were spacious and clean and well kept. We loved the shampoo and lotions which smelled of lavender. The bedroom slippers were comfortable. The beds were just right. At the lobby there is a free beverage machine that dispenses coffee and milk. Perfect for a pick me up and for children’s milk needs. The vending machine at the hotel is well stocked and has almost anything you may need. I will definitely choose this hotel if I return to this area. Thumbs up to all the front desk staff. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The stay was amazing. Everything was clean, in order and the customer service is excellent. Great location as well since it’s 15 minutes away from the Metro station. Would definitely recommend it.

Every staff here are very polite… everything we ask.. they reply immediately and explain very well.. hotel near to airport and train station..easy to transit to other place like Suzhou Hangzhou

The staff were incredibly welcoming from the moment I arrived. Check-in was excellent, even at midnight, and they immediately offered me a welcome drink while explaining the hotel facilities. The room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of natural light and a great view of the city. Housekeeping did a fantastic job every day, and small touches like bottled water and fresh towels were always ready.

Love the service of the team, the coffee station and the clean rooms, modern and fresh looking. Only thing: I didn’t find CNN, DW or any other foreign TV station…😅👌

First time stay at this hotel. Location close to Hongqiao airport. Very clean and nice room. Good for one night stay if you want to stay close to the airport. Had an evening meal across the road from the hotel at Zhejiang seafood which was nice.

My stay at this hotel started with a HORRIBLE experience at check-in. Despite having a COMFIRMED booking through Trip.com, the front desk insisted that I CANCEL my reservation and rebook directly with them, promising a refund. This made no sense! Why should I cancel a prepaid booking, especially when refunds aren’t guaranteed? There seemed to be a language barrier, but that’s no excuse for their unprofessional behavior. I firmly refused because first, c anceling would risk losing my payment** (since my booking was non-refundable). Second, rebooking would likely cost more their "promise" of a refund seemed unreliable. And lastly, Trip.com bookings should be honored! What's the point of using a booking platform if hotels pressure guests to cancel? Thankfully, after arguing, they finally accepted my original booking, but the entire situation was unnecessary and stressful. I was lucky it didn’t ruin my stay, but this hotel clearly prioritizes their own profits over guest convenience.

The room is large and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food served in their restaurant also delicious, we have enjoyed our breakfast so much.
