Hotel Bencoolen at Hong Kong Street

The main advantage of the hotel is its location - you can easily walk to the main attractions, to the grove of supertrees, to the observation deck of the Marina Bay hotel, cloud forest and so on. In addition, there is a China town nearby where you can eat unexpensively and two metro stations within walking distance The hotel does offer breakfasts, but they are meant to be a prelude to the main breakfast. For breakfast they offer omelette, envelopes with fried vegetables, toasts, coffee. The room was basically clean, but the corners needed vacuuming and the windows overlooked the neighboring house about ten meters away. On the other side we didn't come here to look out the window. I would say it's three stars, but by Singapore standards it's a great combination of price and quality

Wouldn't stay here again, would happily have paid an extra $500 to stay elsewhere, breakfast was poor.

We had a very pleasant stay and felt at home. The location is wonderful - the entire city center and many attractions are within walking distance, with 4 metro stations nearby. The room was clean, with good water pressure in the shower, daily housekeeping, and friendly, welcoming staff. The room is small but cozy. There are many shops and shopping centers nearby. The breakfast is simple but sufficient. It includes bread, jams, potatoes or noodles, fried pastries, and tea/coffee/cocoa. The room has a safe, refrigerator, table, and wardrobe. The windows do not open, but it turned out to be unnecessary. You can borrow a European plug adapter at the reception for a small deposit. If we have the chance, we will come back here again! :)

Normal price per quality ratio for Singapore. Very good location. Quite AC. Do not expect much from their breakfast.
