One of the most beautiful hotels I've ever stayed in (and I've stayed in 5-star hotels like Mandrin Oriental ...). A historic building designed with incredible attention to detail. Each room is individually decorated and one is more beautiful than the other - as I extended my visit, I stayed in three different ones. Everything is just right here, from the colors to the furnishings and lighting to the old-style sockets. Even the corridors are designed with love and humor: where else can you see clips from an old Russian silent movie (apparently about the Swans) on the way back to your room at night? As this is a historic building, you have to expect some restrictions (no elevator, limited space for luggage in some rooms, reception in the hallway ...), but this did not affect the stay in any way - especially as the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and speak very good English. Communication was excellent even before arrival via WhatsApp. If you are very sensitive to noise though, you should choose a room on the top floor and not directly near the reception. Overall, however, it is quite quiet as the hotel is set back from the street. Nice view of trees and roofs, from some rooms also of the Tbilisi TV tower. Delicious à la carte breakfast from 9 am to 12 noon - you should take your time and enjoy it. The restaurant - which is open all day - is also very enjoyable with its spaciousness and subtle background music. I also found the location in the beautiful Marjanishvili district perfect: lively, authentic, not so touristy, yet central. Freedom Square is just a few minutes away by metro. Bottom line: Highly recommended for individualists and lovers of beautiful design! I will gladly come back.
