Shiyan Dufu Youth Hostel (Xi'an Bell and Drum City Wall) recensioner

I booked this hostel only because breakfast was included in the price. The first day I was given something absolutely disgusting and the second day I had to prove that I should have breakfast because they wouldn't give me any. Apart from that the hostel is very cool, friendly

We stayed here for two nights the staff was very nice and friendly and the location of hotel as like the mid of xian from where you can go every where very easily the environment is so good highly hygienic I really recommend it to the students and those who came in groups on trip

The staff is nice and helpful. However, the place is not so clean.

The hotel is good and is located Inside the walls very good location. The toilet and room are not so clean though but the common areas are nice with a good rooftop.

The place is very conveniently located. The beds are ok, but I think it'd be better if each one had a reading light. The personnel was pretty kind and helpful. Enjoyed my stay.

when I was going to check in there was a little problem, the receptionist said I made a mistake in booking a women's room even though in the options there was clearly no choice of men's or women's rooms, and they asked me to cancel the order and make a new order but I refused because it would be penalized by the trip. finally after insisting they gave me a bed according to my order, which is a type of bed room with a terrace. the bathroom is on a different floor so just to pee you have to go down to the 2nd floor. plus points close to heping men metro station many restaurants around and a morning market that you must visit before 9 o'clock. they provide laundry services for 10 yuan. and that's very good.

It is a typical, dorm-type accomodation. I was at level 3. Very cheap and the people were nice! The bunk bed was okay. The space to put luggages was quite spacious (because it was a big room, with bunk beds). The main thing was the strategic location, literally behind the iconic Ancient City Wall (can visit at night before 10pm with all the lights!). The bathroom was not clean enough, but it worth the money and it was tolerable for me.

I was disappointed the bathroom is smelly and nobody seems to clean or empty the bins. The dacytgemself is nice but not even toilet paper in the bathroom.

Decent place for budget travellers. No check-in services and wake up calls outside opening hours of 8am to 12 midnight.

The staff is very good and helpful. The hostel is very nearby the subway

Although the hostel is placed in a very beautiful and useful spot to visit the inner old part of Xi'an and next to Muslim quarter, I had a bad experience. The staff seems going in panic when thet have to communicate in english with foreigners. For every little request it was so hard (I fixed everything asking people in the steet ahead, Chinese people are so kind and welcomibg, but these guys were so unpleasant).Male bathroom is a war field, no one cleaned it properly in 48 hours. No paper in the toilets. Toilets costantly smelling. Beds are good, although charge does not work and there is no light for reading. The box for rucksack is very small. At the male floor, in the room, wifi was costantly going down. It was said there was a chance of breakfast to be paid but when I asked the staff told me that there was no breakfast and no one would prepare it. Plus, it seems that this hostel is a place for young people who remain there all the day, it seemed that they "live there". As a consequence, this group of young people occupied constantly the common room with music, computer, and loud voices. Sort of a invasion, there was no chance to stay calm in the only common room of the hostel. However, perfect place for the old city

The hostel is near town wall, you can find metro station by walking distance but it is not very centered. The rooms were okey but the bathroom could be cleaner.
