Very helpful staff, she explained the route for exploring this big national park and purchased cheaper tickets for me! 2 bathrooms attached to the 6bed female dorm. Very happy with the hairdryer and electric blanket!

The staff was super kind and helpful! The room was very big and clean. The best of all was the location, 10 min walking of the East entrance of the park what allowed us to start the day early.

Awesome hostel! Conveniently located within walking distance to the park, the staff is very helpful and will tell you everything you need to know. Pretty big room for hostel standards, lovely vibe😊

Perfect hostel! Exactly at the right location for the national forest park. Notice that there are 4 parks in zhangjiajie you can go to, but the national forest park is the one with the pillars. The room was perfect and the hosts was very nice!

Pros: Good location only 10 minutes walk from East Gate entrance of park. Free use of washing machine on top floor. Cons: Cleanliness of rooms was really poor - everything was really dusty and the floor/rugs did not seem like they had been cleaned/vacuumed in a long time. Had to change rooms after 1st night as the sink in the bathroom leaked all over the floor - the floor was already wet when we first checked into the room. Receptionist seemed pretty reluctant to give us a different room until we insisted. The second room was also super dusty and the floor was dirty. Cleaner came into our room without knocking, just let herself in with a swipe card which was a bit disturbing (this was about 1 hour after she had knocked the door and we’d let her in to empty the bins - no cleaning of the room/bathroom done throughout the time we stayed) We also noticed that some furniture and pillows had been removed from our room while we were out during the day which we thought was really odd. Overall the best thing about the stay was the location.

Great all around. The location is just right outside the national park only a 10 min walk. The owner is very friendly and cute, helps out alot and has very good English. The rooms are huge and very clean with good pressure and hot water for showering. Only slight comment is that during Mar colder months the lobby where games and activities are held was extra cold

Owner can speak english and very helpful to booking and recomment a trip to grand canyon

Very well located! They upgraded me for a few more rmb because the share room was freezeing! I was there in February! Very nice of them!

Good hotel, owners are really nice. I had a room alone, only problem is that in winter the heater was not strong enough to warm up the room. But they gave me an electric blanket.

I booked the mini room for one person. The room is really nice and big, the only problem I had was the fact that the bathroom's floor got flooded every time I had to use the shower, which made the bathroom unusable after showering, which was quite annoying. The hotel is super close to the forest entrance, (10 minute walk), bus station (5 minute walk), and numerous restaurants/grocery stores. The owner was also very nice and booked the ticket for the glass bridge and grand canyon for me. I recommend booking this ticket in advance otherwise you may not be able to go there since only some tickets get sold daily.

My friends and I stayed at this hostel for 3 nights, we encountered every night 1-2 COCKROACHES! We told the hostel owner and they sprayed the bathroom and the room but still on the next day we found a cockroach in one of our luggage, even we closed everything properly during the night and when we were out (thats the proof that they also climbed walls). We found 5 cockroaches in total and were able to kill 4. Very disgusting experience! If you hate cockroaches and/or you have no friend which are able to kill them at the first try, then STAY AWAY!!! For this experience we got around 100 RMB discount. Besides this, the people were nice and helped us a lot in order to finalize the trip and to figure the bus out. (Chinese speaking is required)

Amazing customer service, location and room! Very spacious and clean. Close to main attractions of the city. The owner is an amazing woman! She helped us with a lot of things, even after we left the hotel and needed help in other cities of China! I highly recommend!
